Does anyone have any experiences with the type of service their pets have received at Valley Vet as this is a new business?

I love animals and I would not steer you in the wrong direction, I have took my tomcat and my golden retriever there and they both received the best of care, she will treat your animals as if they are her own, her prices are satisfactory and she always has returned my call on her emergency number, I highly recommend Whitney for all your animal needs.

Her clinic is located on US 23 South, on Colley Hill just past the road construction.

Has anyone ever been to Joey Collins? Is he good?

I have been to them both and Valley takes more time and care with your animals than Joey does. I believe that some of that is due to the volume that Joey sees. So all of that isn't his fault. Joey is good too but if you are in the Shelby Valley area I wouldn't waste my time driving to Bucley's creek, because the treatment is equally as good if not better at Valley. She comes with a good recommendation from me personally.

Both Joey and Whitney are very good. Having been to both, I prefer Whitney, eventhough I live closer to Joey. The waiting time is much less, prices are reasonable, calm atmosphere and true concern and compassion for your pet. Very professional and friendly staff.13

Seen both and hands down, Whitney is the best, she takes pride in her work, listens to you about your pet and answers all your questions you ask. Also you can reach her in an emergency unlike joey. Joey has a rude staff not to mention his wife, if shes there, she could care less for the animales,Whitney is the only vet I will use.......

I must agree with Been There. When Collins first started his Practice they were nice and helpful. They have grown to the point that when you walk in you are nothing but a dollar sign to them....BTW, the best Vet in East Ky is Dr. Shawn Tussey, located just past Martin on Route 80.

Joey is an awesome vet, but his office staff has to be the rudest people around. I hate dealing with them. They act like they are doing you a favor by speaking to you. Once you get past them, Joey is great. He is very very busy, so the time he spends with his "patients" does seem rushed at times.

I bet she gets her kindness from her dad. I hear he is and always was a mild mannered gentleman.
I know she is very professional and does a great job with care and love for the pets

I must say that my visit to Valley was not as pleasent.. Whitney performed a declaw and spade on my cat. She may be very talented but I would not know as I have not met her. Her office staff on the other hand, leave soemthing to be desired. Nothing had been charted on my cat, not her weight, no indications that they gave her the requested shots, no rabbies tag issued. The tech insured me that she gave all the animals thier shots but it wasn't reassuring that she gave my cat her shot. No after care instruction could be found. They ended up printing off the spayed instructions but never recieved the after care instructions for the declaw. The most alarming part for me was not that the office staff obviously had a busy day and were unorganized and forgetful, it was the reaction by Whitney's husband as he was checking me out. He was just as unorganized as the techs but was threating and boardline verbally abusive towards the techs. He made a comment that "if my wife wasn't in surgey I'd yell". His behavior was uncalled for and in my opinion reflected the most negatively on Vally Vet.

I've taken my pets to Valley Vet Clinic ever since they opened and I have always been very pleased with the care my pets receive. Everyone has always been very professional and efficient also.

I know Bill, and he is one of the kindest men you could ever meet. They may have had a very busy day, it happens. But I'm sure if he said that you are taking it out of context, because if he said it I know it had to be joking. They are excellent caregivers. I won't go anywhere else now, not even to Joey's---NOW THEY ARE RUDE!!!. Bottom line is they are awesome in every way.

I still say she is the best vet in the community.
And her kindness comes from her dad as he has never lost his temper, he has never gotten mad no matter what situation... He has always been know for keeping his cool even in the worst situations.
I heard he was a very calm coach in his days??
Overall Whitney is the best all around in this area....
Got to run for now as I have to take the dog to the vet

..lol to the person saying they dont believe it. I highly doubt someone would make THAT up out of all the things that could be made up.

Whitneys mom has always seemed like a jealous person, I remember her at Millard. Whitney herself is a great person.

This is very hard to believe, I think you were at Joey Collins, he's the only one that does that, Whitney and staff are very kind and understanding, and are always asking if you have any questions, maybe it was you having a bad day, or to many pills.

Her husband is rude and borderline incompetent. She may be a good vet but she needs someone besides him to work the front desk and manager her office. He doesn't have a clue.

Its hilarious one person is making post to cover for this vets husband! Its only making their office look worse that youre making fake post! Now Im convinced it may be the vet or her husband, crazy!

And, the remark wasnt even that bad! It was one negative review and if theyre so great, one negative will not make an impact on their clinic. Chill. You must be the dudes family?
