Fun times!
Don't know what year everybody was there, but I was there the years that Waco and Doug Hall were like the baddest boys in the whole school. They're probably both in prison now! lol.
Johnny Hall was like the funniest kid in band class. Speaking of band.. what was up with Mr. Houston telling everyone to "march like you have a quarter stuck up your a..s..s ?!?! That was crazy, but funny! He said it in every class too.
Remember the smoking area? You had to be a certain age to smoke out there. Kids were busted all the time. How were they busted? By ol coach Howard doing the finger sniff test to see if their fingers smelled like ciggy smoke! lol
speaking of coach Howard, I am still terrified of that man! He terrified me! I always heard that he had actual boxing matches with certain boys in his office.
Does anyone remember Audrey's autograph book? I'd LOVE to see that darn thing! I bet she has everyone in that whole schools autograph in that book!
I have fond memories of sneaking out of class in the locker room! Or just flat out leaving the school out of the front door! Nobody seemed to even notice or care! I'd just get my stuff and leave out of the office! Sweet Mrs. Sandra (Branham) never seemed to notice me leaving either. Fun fun fun!
Mr. Thomas was the COOLEST teacher EVER! So many fond memories of his class. If you could even call it a class. We did NOTHING! He always let us run out back down by the river! Mr. Williams class was even better! We drove that man CRAZY! I had him the first year he taught school. He would BEG for us to shut up!
And please tell me if anyone remembers poor Mrs. Cornett? She taught 7th grade Math in the 92-93 school year. That poor woman was put through pure h.e.l.l !!! She screamed her lungs out every single day.
Remember "the cube?" If you went in there, you were in BIG trouble! It was like top secret. What on earth were they keeping in there anyway?
There was a blonde girl named Sharon that was forever more saying she had a miscarriage in the stair well. It was so odd. Every single day she was having another miscarriage in the stair well! I can't remember her last name.
Mrs. Titus's Home Ec. class always scared me too because I was scared of her! She was like evil, but sweet at the same time. Mostly evil though.
Remember A day and B day? That made school so much fun!
I want to go back!!

I loved going to Pikeville High. I wouldn't trade my memories of that place for nothing. I graduated in '88, when the football team was unstoppable, ('87,'88,). Hillard Howard was the shit when I was there. I had Miss Tight-ass...err...Titus for home ecomonics. A b.s. class and she knew it, that's why she was so mad all the time.

I didn't go to Pikeville High, but man I remember those powerhouse football teams. I played for Johns Creek '87-'89 (shaddup!) so I went up against them three times.

I talk about those teams with pride now. I'll get to talking with younger guys or people up here in Scottsville about when they played football and I'd tell them about those Pikeville teams. I tell 'em how they could beat any school in KY, Class A all the way through Class 4A and probably a few of NAIA division college teams. The '87 team was even featured in Sports Illustrated.

Steve Bailey is still the most impressive high school running back I've ever seen ('89 Pikeville team). Man could he run!

Matt Blair, Tim Honaker, Bobby Deramus, Greg Hackney, Jeff Roop, the list goes on and on. And that's just from the '87 team.

God I'm old.

EIM you obviously must have gone there during the smae time period as me. I remember the smoking area. Sharon's last name was Kelley and she was forever pregnant. I teased her about it all the time telling her that if all those kids ever decided to come out shed die giving birth. Therefore I do not feel bad saying it here as I said it to her face a million times. I think she just really wanted a child. LOVED coach Thomas!!!! Youre right we did nothing. He flirted with Mrs Thacker. We ran the halls! OH Gaw I hated Mrs Cornett and Mrs Tight Ass as well!! They were almost as bad as Mrs Dye only they didnt set in the guys laps. LOL! Yeah Coach Howard was scary and yes I too heard about the boxing matches LOL!
Still...I hated it! I was unpopular and I never figured out why. Glad it is over now.

I generally liked PHS. I had Thomas for History in 7th (or 8th?) grade. I loved him then. We went through at least 3 principals while I was there. Talk about whiplash. Howard was a scary man. I graduated in 2005.

Loved it! Had so much fun. Great memories and you are right, we did nothing is Mr. Thomas's class. I can't believe he is actually making kids do something now! Heck, everyone in the history class got an A one year and all we did was hang out by the river all year. Fun fun!

That is it! Sharon Kelly! HAHAH! Someone please find her on Myspace! Please? If the girl doesn't have 31 children by now, I'll eat your hat and everyone elses.

I bet you money she staged the birth in the stairs. She had such a fetish with giving birth on the stairs!!!

Some more fun...

Mr. Thomas married Mrs. Gibson!! hahah!! They had a long affair in the cube that lasted forever. I think that is why he couldn't teach. They got it on in "the cube" everyday!!
