Is the venue for the concert indoors?
Back in the 70's, I went to watch EKU play ETSU at JC, I was just wondering if it's the same structure.
Anyhoooo....have a blast!
MC
Thanks MC, I plan to. Johnson City is a little under 75 mi. from me and it takes right at a little over an hour for me to drive there. Of course I live within minutes of the KY./ VA. border and most of the drive itself is though Virginia, which is the only thing I hate. Va. is always such a by-the-book State and I have extremely dark tinted windows on my car which are illegal..and they like to let me know it sometimes, LOL!

The venue I'm going to the show at is named The Hideaway and it's right off of State Of
Franklin Rd. which runs right through the ETSU campus..it's about a mile from the ctr.
where they hold their basketball/sports events, which I believe is the same bldg. they've
always used.

Well I made it to and fro safely and had a great time and hey MC, guess who the new drummer is in Weedeater? His name is Travis and he was formerly in..(wait for it)...ARTIMUS PYLEDRIVER!!(as well as another band I like: WHORES) and he was amazing. He's a perfect fit with Dixie and Shep (bass/vox & gtrst. in Weedeater) but the highlight was the main band I was out to see: LO PAN and they were some kick-ass stuff, just great. Their bassist Skot and I got to talking and realized he's got family here in Jenkins including some
Adkins' that live on this very hollow, LOL. It is a small world indeed, eh?

I hear you..that's a side effect of the insomnia we were recently discussing but I'm sure you already know that, LOL! I have always
required very little sleep myself and only get about 5 or 6 hours
per every two days or so.

I hate them too, Tigger. Those Copperheads must be bad right now or something because I know a friend of mine was just telling me that he was walking in his yard the other day, in sandals or flip flops or something, and walked right up within 2 or 3 inches of one! Somehow he managed to get away without getting bit.

I saw that story about those two little boys too, they were crushed/strangled
by an escaped python I believe? That's just awful.

Thanks, MC and yeah, it was killer. LO PAN lived up to all that I was
expecting too, definitely one of the tightest, talented bands around.
Hey, do you recall that Cave Run-based band I turned you on to awhile
back: The Lost River Cavemen? I think they're getting ready to play some shows down in the region..I know of one in Berea for sure.

ive always been told that moth balls will keep snakes away, i have been doing this for years, you kinda have to get used to the odor, but its better than snakes.
just go all around outside your house and outdoor buildings, etc, and sprinkle down mothballs all around.

I've heard about that , but really didn't know if it would work.

Same here, Hatti yet like you, I have no idea if it actually works or
not either.
