Yeah, but does our lack of events originate from civil officials or
from the people themselves? Is it because those officials don't try
or want to have social events or is it because the people don't care
or cannot appreciate them properly? I think the whole Expo fiasco is
a sure sign that someone somewhere hos no idea of what would actually
go over well around here.
Working people have no money to spend at these social events as you call them. The expo has bands and shows during the week when most of us work and cant attend. People with extra money to spend would go over well around here.

you are right, with the exception of one or two, almost every concert the expo has had, has been on a thursday night.
i have been to a few of these, but i never spent any money, other than my tickets to get in.
i never spent money for beer or drinks there cause they were too expensive.
no food or tshirts either.

Right you are, Brain Lock! In the last 4 years, gas has doubled...along with food, utilities...etc. But, you can't seem to connect the dots.

The only entertainment people are going to be able to attend is watching the bluegrass bands in the park at Hillbilly Days for free.

Right you are as well, Brother BC but the reason moronic jackasses like Dumbasa Block are broke is because they cannot stretch their Welfare check out any further than a trip to their local pill dealer and maybe some Mtn. Dew and Cigs when it comes at the first of the month. The next 3 weeks of the month for him is funded by trading his Food Stamps and thievery which he eluded to above as "working" LMAO!

In my opinion, coal has always been a double edged sword. No doubt that it's dangerous, most men that spend more than 10 years working in it end up with health issues, and then there's the environmental impact. On the positive, it's brought billions of dollars to the state, provided the area with jobs (where else can someone earn $60,000 without a college degree)?

With that said, if Obama wants to stomp it out...I'd be ok with it, IF he provided an alternative economic plan for the region. BUT, this hasn't happened and WILL NOT happen. That's the problem that I have with it. If they want rid of coal, then they should gradually phase it out, while introducing new industry/jobs to the area. The fact that Ovomit has not ONCE eluded to ANY type of economic plan to the areas where he is attacking coal just shows how he truly doesn't give a ratz azz about prosperity. He just wants everyone to be a casualty of his welfare state.

True, but his aggressive green agenda, controlled EPA, and his openly admitted "War On Coal" has taken those previous measures to extremes. He's shutting down coal fired plants, etc....

Where's his alternative for jobs, WTF? I know that you don't give a damn about working, but people that believe in the American dream and want to provide for their families instead of barely surviving on a monthly govt. handout deserve a leader with some friggin solutions.

Wouldn't it be nice to pick up your boyfriends in a vehicle instead of making them ride on the handle bars? YES, that's what the American dream can do for you! You're supposed to be able to earn an education, land a good paying job, and enjoy having some things. It's called "ambition", WTF.

Automotive companies are working now to keep cars in compliance 4 and 5 years from now. Why didn't the coal industry do the same thing. Take some of their profits and use it for research for cleaner outputs. The coal plants and operators decided to give out bonuses and such instead of working for the future. Who is to blame for that?
