I love my Doc. Dr. Gaunt is great and she really cares about her patients. And she has put ip with me and delivered 2 of my children. I trust her ability to take care of myself and my babies!

I love her, she made me feel so relaxed about having my 1st child, when I started to get worried or scared she always made a joke to make everyone laugh. She is really great with kids and with every patients she has. Thank you Dr. Gaunt for everything, one for being my Dr., and being a friend.

If you love your doctor, than why would you even put her name or business info on Topix? You have opened up a can of worms trying to drum up business for her.

Dr. Gaunt doesn't need any more business. She is already very very busy. She is my doctor and I love her too.

I went to her one time for a pap. I will never go back. She was rude and didn't seem to have time for my questions. I am not a young woman and I had heard young girls talk about not liking her. I took up for her until I went there myself. I think she doesn't have a very good bed side manner.

all i know is, i never went to her, never thought about it; waited until dr. pigg got back. my sis in law went to her and when her baby's heart rate started dropping, she did NOTHING. baby had a stroke and ruptured aneurism. passed away at 26 days old. dr. gaunt did not do right by my sister in law or nephew.

i do not like dr. gaunt, but, since she is the only female, ob/gyn in pikeville i was going to her, its been nearly 2 years since i went, she wanted to put me on synthetic hormones for menopause, and i was only 39 years old....
my periods were a little irregular but nothing that serious and i threw the script in the trash and havent been back...
i miss dr. pigg, he had a np with him named brook and she was better than the doctors...we need more ob/gyns in pikeville, more women anyway...
dr. gaunt is not a very good doctor in my opinion.

who is his nurse practitioner, i might sound old fashioned, but i can just be more open (no pun intended)...and less nervous with a woman doctor or nurse practioner

Dr. Gaunt was my doctor for a hysterectomy at 37 and would not have anyone else. She was very patient and understanding of my taking a while for the decision to have the surgery and as far as hormones, that was a definite no way. Everyone is different but she explained to me that anyone under 50 had far greater health risks with synthetic hormones.

did u do your research, because studies have shown that many many women have been given hysterectomies unnecessarily....doctors find a fibroid cyst or a tumor of some kind and the immediately tell their patient they need a hysterectomy, the only way i would ever have one is if i had cancer and then i would have to do my research, talk to a specialist and think long and hard about it

that she will c section u up whether you need it or not! that is so wrong i think if you dont need a c section they should let you experience natural birth! they say they c section you for more money and it is much quicker! simply wrong if it is not a have too case

I was nervous after my OBGYN retired but he refered her to me. I did have a c-section but because I had one before and she gave me the choice. My first impression of her was that she was busy too. But I dont expect my doc to be my best friend. As I got to know her she was very personal, and warm. After I had my baby and went back for my check up she held and cuddled my baby like it ws her family. and I love her staff

i am a young lady..and i do NOT like her at all...i have had 3 misscarragies and i saw her all three times like a idiot, the 1st two times she would not answer all my questions i just felt weird being there and she didnt explain everything to me at what had happened i mean i never went through anything like that before and she woudlnt explain it to me...well the 1st time i misscared i just passed it at home..the 2nd time i got a 2nd opion at the doctors ontown moutain and they told me also that i had misscarred but he was nice enough to take me in his office and talk to me and my hubsand about everything that had happened and told us good luck in the next...she didnt do anything...well the 3rd time i went to her aggain i know it was stupid but i did ..well she didnt even tell me i misscarried this time,i carrid this baby in me for 3 weeks and it dead and i finall passes it at home didnt even knwo it was dead!it was Terribale...and the reason i passed them at home if u are wondering is becauas i woudlnt let her put me to sleep to let her get the baby!i told her i would pass thewm myslef

if u ask me the doctors make it too damn easy on women giving birth these days, i went to sit with a young woman i know while she was in "labor"...and i thought damn, its no wonder these young girls are having babies on top of babies...she was in there all of 2 hours, no visible pain, a little push here or there and it was over...
they should make it the way it was when i had my child....18 hours of hard screaming, pain, pushing and crying and cussing and they didnt give u an epideral, or hook u up to a pain med pump...
c sections were only used when a woman or the baby was in danger
now a woman is pregnant tells her doc i want a c section on tuesday at 9 am and she gets it, she goes back to her life like nothing ever happened
i had stitches in my hoo haa and had to use a sitz bath for days to help with the pain....
stop making it so easy on ppl having babies, make them feel the pain, make them feel what the next one will feel like and they might get them some damn birth control
Ur wrong

she is honestly one of the worst drs ive ever been to. i went to her for help for infertility and basically wasted 2 years of my time. she never did anything at all to help me. when she would come in the room, she was in there all of about 2 mins. i didnt have time to ask her anything.i will never go back to her.

She has no manners! She was always very rude to me and acted like I was wasting her precious time! I was pregnant!! I left and went to Dr. Pigg! I didn't want to go to a man doc but ended up seeing Dr. Gibson most of the times that I went. I HATED Dr. Gaunt!! I wouldn't go back to her if she were the only OB in Pike County!! I'd drive anywhere else before I'd see her!
