I never said that, and I never claimed to be a professor of politics either, Gary is much more qualified than either of these others to do a great job at the jail.
So a probation officer is a qualification for being a jailer.Hmmm.You make no sense. But hey you Vote for Gary.Im saying Freddie Lewis will be the next jailer of Pike County and on May 20th you will see

As long as they don't try to screw me or any of our sisters then we will be just fine. Ronnie is a pig he has tried to screw us all before at the bars and when we go to pick up our vehicles after we get out of jail. I'm not going to lie but I did help Gary a couple times for a break lol this Freddie guy sounds interesting as long as he doesn't try anything funny and use the system to get his way with us inmates ill spread the word. Where is he form anyways I have only seen two vehicles and a big sign on a church building on Rockhouse for this man.

Not only did he pick on people he also made fun of handicapped persons and was always acting big because his brother was a city cop so he thought he could get away picking on people but its came back on him now. I would submit to lie detectors test on how he picked on me and I know of at least 2 others.

I don't mean to cause any problems, Just figure I will share my two cents on Mr. Morris. He owns the company I worked for, Appalachian Security. He has been took to court over not paying his employees, Here you can read it I will copy and paste it.

Appalachian Security paying 44 coal mine guards $118,000 in back wages after U.S. Dept of Labor inquiry

U.S. Dept of Labor news release

PIKEVILLE, Ky.– The U.S. Department of Labor has recovered $118,465 in back wages for 44 security guards of Appalachian Security Inc., following an investigation that found the employees had been improperly classified as exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act’s overtime pay provisions, and thereby denied proper compensation for all hours of their work.

Appalachian Security Inc. provides guard services to coal mines and businesses in eastern Kentucky and West Virginia. The company has agreed to complete all back wage payments directly to the affected employees.

“A job must clearly meet the salary and duty requirements outlined in the FLSA in order to qualify as exempt from overtime compensation, and management cannot make deals with employees to circumvent the law. The Labor Department vigorously enforces these rules to be sure there is a level playing field for companies that follow the rules,” said Karen Garnett, director of the department’s Wage and Hour Division district office in Louisville.

An investigation conducted by the Wage and Hour Division found that the company improperly classified several guards as salaried-exempt from the FLSA, when in fact these employees were paid on an hourly basis and their wages did not meet the overtime exemption requirements of the FLSA. In addition, the company was found to have entered into illegal agreements with some of its guards to pay them straight-time wages for all hours worked, instead of time and one-half their regular rates of pay for hours exceeding 40 per workweek, as required under the FLSA.

The company agreed to pay all back wages due the affected employees, and also committed to maintaining future compliance by ensuring all employees are properly classified and compensated for their full work periods, in accordance with the FLSA.

The FLSA requires that covered employees be paid at least the federal minimum wage of $7.25 for all hours worked plus time and one-half their regular rates of pay, including commissions, bonuses and incentive pay, for hours worked beyond 40 per week. Employers must also maintain accurate time and payroll records.

That's just one thing about Mr. Morris, now I will tell you how he runs his company. He pays us workers 7.25 and hour, makes us purchase our own equipment from vests to steel toe boots to hard hats. He also factors in where you live, if you live close to a post he will not let you watch that post he will make you drive way out of your way and work another post causing you to pay a huge gas bill just to work 8 hours for 7.25. By the time you do all this stuff your not making anything but you gotta do the job cause things are so bad u need the money an he knows this.

I worked for this company for 5 years and have never met Brian Morris, he never comes to see the post.. I doubt he even knows where half his posts are. This is not the man you want running a company or holding a Jailer position. I have even been called to work another post, while on a post. He don't even keep up with who works where an when.

The times I had spoken to Mr. Morris he was a smart ass (excuse my language) but its true. He has a bad attitude, and very hard to work with.

And here's the kicker, half the people he has hired to high positions to do his dirty work aka Managers. Are druggies & Thieves, and half the stuff that gets stole from contracted posts his company watches has been took by these so called "managers".

So hopefully the things I have shared here will help you make the right choice May 20th. Just wanted to tell you who Brian Morris is as a person..

Haha to soft hearted , that position needs someone who is a little soft hearted , you don't treat prisoners hard!! Hell some of is in there for being hooked on dope and no one wants to be !!! I agree that some of the more hardened criminals need tough handling but the majority doesn't . Gary McCoy is the best man for the job.
well that's one reason for me to not vote for him. thanks for the info. lol

that's the first thing I've heard about this guy. quess he won't get my vote. jail should be the kind of place you don't want to return to over and over. we don't need a cruel person but we don't need someone that pill heads looking forward to dealing with or seeing because he's soft hearted. lol we need a fair person but not a soft hearted person. I think the problem with jail is it's too easy. the same people get arrested again and again so that tells me it's not ran hard enough. I for starving people or mistreating them but I aint for making it a place where they get to hang out with their buddies to pass the time either and have soft hearted people running the place to make it even easier. I believe in "tough love" to help people. not weakness. the addicts need help, being soft aint gonna help them. jail should be something you kind of dread. not something easy. anytime I hear pill heads or people that relate or make excuses for pill heads saying they're just sick and not really so bad or that something or someone is too harsh on them for being repeat offenders that don't even try to change that must means they or it are getting my vote.
