I am in need of some dental work, and can't afford to pay up front first time... are there any dentist that work with you in this area as far as payments with stuff. If so, please let me know.

Doctor Eddy Clark in Prestonsburg is really good about working out a payment plan, but I do know you have to pay a % of your bill up front.

the reason dentists dont do payment plans is because people abuse them. I work in a local dental office and every time someone asks for a payment plan you can interpret that as "Im gonna get my work done and then stiff the dentist". People need to understand that your local dentist is NOT your banker. Why should he offer a payment plan? Food City and Walmart dont offer payment plans...so why should your local dentist?? If your dentist doesnt offer a payment plan...you can thank all those that abuse the opportunity.

Reality check: I've a question. If a person set up automatic payments from a bank account, or allowed the dentist access to a bank account to withdraw the payment due, then would a dentist consider a payment plan?

Find a dentist who accepts something called CareCredit. It's basically like a credit card account for healthcare only. The dentist gets paid and you pay payments (with interest I assume) to CareCredit.

Also, if you have no insurance and limited income, the Mud Creek Dental Clinic is actually pretty good, the doctors are nice and do good work..it's a deal!

MudCreek Clinic is fine, but there are a lot of procedures that I don't think that they do.
