corruption

The news-express has never challenged or exposed the corruption going on in the public schools.

I wonder why that is?

We know why they didn't focus on that lawyer's quid pro quo with that judge (they made a lot of money from his ads).

But why do they protect the school system?

The media is suppose to speak truth to power. Too bad the New Express uses the Fox News model of faux journalism.

They may be more than ashamed...especially when they see Roger's name pop up, next January, when it comes time to file for the primary elections.

The real reason Super is staying until August is bacause he chose his own time to leave. With all his years of service and the way his retirement income would tally out, August 1 was the perfect time for him to reap the best of retirement pay, staying longer would cause him to start losing money. He was sort of planning this for a long time now, funny how everybody wants to take the credit his retiring. The reason F. Ratliff turned on Justin M. and C.B. and voted against them on this, is Super has some really big illegal proof on some dirty stuff on F. Ratliff and Mr Frank is afraid of Super now. Because of this, Super could stay another term and F. Ratliff would vote for it. DId ya notice how F. Ratliff voted against Justin M. and Billiter twice last night!!!! This is why, and thugs always turn on each other. Super is such a class act, he is far too superior to sit at the same table with the 2 new Buffoons!! They are such clowns, and a total embarrassment to our county, another reason for eastern ky to be laughed at. something else you are apparently missing here is, the new jobs??? again you dont know what you talk about, Wagoner will be doing ALL thwe rehiring himself and ya cant do a thing about it, after all, he IS still the Super!!! Ha Ha, he is getting the last laughg, all this and a retirement of nothin but good times!!!!!!!! IT is all playing out just the way he planned it.
If I'm not mistaken, doesn't Mr. W. have another 2 years left on his contract?? That says alot about his situation...he'd rather walk away from his life's work than to have to go work with the "2 new Buffoons". From what I've seen, can't say I blame him.

The one guy has been on the school board for 2 weeks and "thinks" he's more qualified to run things than a man with 40+ years experience???? Mr. W. should've paddled him on the spot....

Dr. Johnson is the only one on the board with any sense. Think about what a bunch of idiots the other three are: Biliter, Ratliff, and Maynard. Boy, we should all be proud of our board. So far they have changed the meeting time of the Board Meetings and have the taxpayers paying for a "forensic" audit. Is it really called a "forensic" audit? It is like a three-ringed circus over there. We are the laughing-stock of East Kentucky.

The audit will accomplish one of two things, it will either show the Board is fiscal sound and no problems or in the financial mess Frank R and company has been hollering it is.

If the board is fiscal sound and in the black some people are going to have egg on their face and Mr. Wagner is going to be owed an apology. If not the revolt and overthrow of the King was justified..It would take a fool to ask for an audit that you knew was going to be fiscal sound. Will be interesting to see how this shakes out...interesting!

You got to be joking, walk away to keep from working with the new guys. I think it has more to do with the people wanting a change. They are tired of being embarrassed by the States lowest test scores.

It's not just the superintendent's job to make sure students get a proper education. It starts at home, first and foremost, then the teachers and the most important person, the student. I think there is a fair amount of blame to go around. Try being realistic.
Realistic? And you want to blame everybody but the Teachers and the people that hire them. A student should be able to come from a household where the parents can't read or write, and still excel, but that would be in a place where people actually do their jobs. We got Teachers sitting in the classrooms drunk around here, and by god get by with it. If they aren't drinking or doing dope they are on the phone most of the class. It would be unrealistic to pit the blame where it actually belongs, and especially with this bunch running the Circus.

Yeah, you maybe right but in 6 or 7 years they will do the new guy the same way, I ve been there for a long time and seen it over and over. But you think about it, why wouldn't he want to go, He got what he wanted and he knows his time is up. Got 3 board member thats not going to work with him no matter what he want to do and fight him if he was right. All it would do is hurt the system more than help. Our only hope is Ky ever goes to a state appointed super.
You gothat right
