Wasn't in the paper a couple weeks ago? Or was that just what they were recommending?

he wasnt sentenced. he will be sent to a nice white walled clean, with tennis courts and a pool, rehab center for doctors.
he will stay there about 3 months or maybe 6, and he will have to do some community service, probably.
give back.
he will be required to do drug counseling and maybe his license will be suspended, maybe just his ability to prescribe narcotics.
and he will be home, and that will be the end of it.
i have never in my life heard anyone say he was on drugs, but i guess its easy to use drug abuse as an excuse for greedy behavior.
i mean, if he were on drugs, looks like he would have been stealing those pharmacueticals for himself.

He didn't need to steal he was trading his samples. Using his words he had a "candy store" next door. When drugs are handily available you don't really show deviant behavior.

Didnt any of his employees know this was going on? I mean his office manager had to know right?
Ithink she spent way to much time with him not to.

Don't know how she dodged the bullet. One would think she knew what was going on.

Court findings are public record. He was fined $250,000, sentenced to a year in jail and sent to rehab for oxycodone abuse. This is the deal he got with a high priced lawyer. Anyone else would be put under the jail. He clearly plans to try and get out of doing time by claiming he has seen the light after getting clean. That way he can pay the fine on the backs of his patients, who deserve much better.

people move on that boat has sailed.
whatever deal he made has been signed, sealed and delievered, and he is off in some air conditioned country club rehab center for doctors, with a swimming pool and massages twice a day and in a year or two he will be in a new office somewhere.

I wish this man all the best. He was a great man before he got messed up with some bad things. Bad choices. His kids need him. His family needs him. He will come out of this a better person. No need to belittle him on here. He's suffered enough ridicule. He is being punished for his mistakes. When it's over he will go back to being the good man that he's always been by that's who he is. He has tons of support from his wife and kids and his community. Best wishes to a new start Thad!!!

This was my doctor. He did get in trouble and he should have to pay. Not because of his mishandling of drugs but for another more important reason.

When a person starts seeing a doctor, they put confidence in his always being there. I went to him and now he is not in business. And I can not find another doctor as easy as it looks. I confided in him, he knew me, and he knew our history when I went to see him. Now when I go to the hospital, you never know who is going to be my doctor. And those new doctors DO NOT know my history. I have to explain every detail I can remember every stinking time!!!

I can't find a new doctor... And that is because of him and his illegal activities.... He should have to pay for someone to assist me in finding a new doctor and he should have to give all my medical records to that new person so I don't have to keep explaining every damn detail of my medical history to a different doctor or nurse every time I go...

I trusted in him and he let me down along with his more elderly patients too. Plus he has never called and apologized nor tried to help me find another permanent doctor. It is a professional disappointment and disgrace to his peers..

All charges have been dropped versus Dr Manning. False accusations and people assume guilt before innocence.

It is NOT judgmental that I don't want my sick kid treated by someone who, by his own admission, is high on drugs. It is illegal. It is also fraud for him to take money from patients and insurance companies for doing this. There is no legal way for him to get the drugs he was using, so he also committed crimes by doing this. He should have to be accountable for his decisions, and by all rights should lose his license as well as do jail time, just like anyone else would have to do.
