I was in my teens when my mother got Dr king for a doc. I moved away and really didn't concern myself with who went to who. My mom became stricken with ovarian cancer. Started small, and really quick it staged upwards, or I think that's the term. Anyway, I didn't get to be with her when she passed away, and have only the word of other people what was said and who was by her Side, and so on. When the funeral was held there was many people pouring support for our family, whom I thank and to this day remember and cherish. But, there was Dr King. He introduced himself to me while he was trying to console, and cheer up my dad. He left and told me if I ever needed anything, to come see him, no matter the time or reason, that he would help me In anyway. That was ten years ago.
This past year I started getting hoarse, and developed a sore throat, didn't hurt just mad my voice start changing, bothered my was a little. Well, I remembered him and called. His office told me they would call back and they did. Told me come right on in. He remembered me like it was yesterday, and told me he would refer me to a specialist. I was diagnosed with throat cancer, have had radiation, and seen Dr King for other things since. He's personal, helping, caring and talks to me like a friend. I found out he would make his rounds at PMC when mom was sick and sit with she and dad. My throat has gotten worse here lately, and I thought well this referred doc will take care of it. I had a chance to talk to Dr King, the other day and told him I was in doubt about this specialist. He went mad, and told me why didn't I come to him. I told him I didn't want to question or upset the other doc. Dr King said a few choice words and said worry about what I told you , if you need anything, you let me know, I'm taking care of you. So now he's insisting I go to a major university which specializes in this field. Im recovering now, and I know it's hard to get a good doc. Saw a post on here about doctor closing offices without telling patients. People if you can get this man to be your doctor, you will be taken care of. He's not just out there for money. Now I agree everybody has to make a living. But I believe that PMC is breeding a business at the expense of our e ky culture. MONEY MONEY MONEY!,, there are only a few if any good doctorsmleft around here, and I just wanted to let all I could know, that Dr King and his staff are people you can count on. I know that he will always have my best interest at heart. His staff are the same way. THANK YOU DOCTOR KING!!!

My Father has been seeing Dr. King for years and has always had the best care from the Dr. and his staff as well. I too appreciate Dr. King and his earnest desire to actually help people and not just being in
it " for the money " as so many physicians these days
are.

I love Dr. King, Carrie and the rest of the staff and have complete faith in him. I know that if I have any concerns he will take time to talk "to" me not "at" me. Don't know what my family will do if he ever decides to retire.

Doctor King is one of the very few I have met that has never forgotten his roots. He is, in his own words, "just" a country doctor". We should be so lucky as to have more "just country doctors" like him... we love you Dr. King and Staff. In the words of Mr. Spock, Live Long and Prosper...

Some one just send him a card some day then. I did! Wonderful people in the shouldn't go unnoticed, and that's why I started this. He, and the staff get slack from people who can't go to him, but there's a reason for it. Every now and again they will accept new patients, but it's when he and they know they can properly attend to them.
I wish more pracficing physicians around here were more like. Take note some you other doctors who are out there.
With that said, please show Carrie, Patty, Spicy, and Donna along with Country Bumpkin, how you feel. From the looks of it we all know that we love them, so that's why I diddnt wait til Christmas to send em a card of thanks.

Thank you all.

I saw this thread and was afraid that it was something negative about this wonderful man. I was so happy to see that it wasn't! Dr. King has treated me, as well as my family, for many, many years. He is fantastic and so is his staff. They always return calls, do everything they can to help, and are genuinely good and nice people. I am happy to see others sharing similar experiences.
