He used to live at Hames Court with Hannah and the kids, for about 2 years maybe. He worked at City Tire before moving to his last address and job.

Even if he did it is nothing to be ashamed about. It is a disease. Were you ashamed when your relative kept eating fat greasy artery clogging food that lead them to have a heart attack and die or when they smoked so much that they wound up with severe lung problems and or lung cancer and died? Overeating and smoking are addictions too, that create health problems caused by the person themself.

For someone that young to die and leave a young family is very sad.
This is a time for people to reach out with kindness and love; not get on here and make ignorant remarks.

if he was going to a dope doctor at the time of his death and overdosed on those pills this should be reported to the medical board. these doctors need to be responsible for passing out pills to addicts

i am not ashamed people just needs to stop talking about what happen to him because really its none of no one concern but his family! it was a hard lose for his wife and kids and his mother and father and all his brothers and sister but does anyone care no is all they care about is who can talk about it first. i did know him and his wife and his family but what he did was his own concern. everyone needs to stay out of it. it was hard enough for his family u all make it harder..

or maybe his lack of concern. if he was a real man he would have worried about not leaving his family. now his children are without a father. so you cant say it was his own concern. he was too busy running to the dope doctor now look at him.

I am Doug Hopkins sister. My brother did die of a drug overdose. That doesn't mean he was a bad person, it just means he had a problem. I would like to ask for you to not write anything bad about my brother. I have had a difficult time dealing with this lose. Yes my brother had a drug problem, but he worked every day, was a great and loving father, brother, son, uncle, great uncle, and so many other wonderful things to many people. I can only pray that anyone that reads this that has a drug problem or a loved one or friend with the issue, to please try and seek treatment. I miss my brother every day! There are still nights that I wake up crying and screaming his name. Only God's judgement Truely matters! I will pray for all family, friends, and strangers with loved ones that has a drug addiction. I'm not ashamed of my brother! He was awesome! I want people to hear how he died, maybe it can help someone else recover! Thanks for reading.
