I don't know what happened to the man, but Baby Ray was throwing the most childishly spiteful fit I have seen since the first grade.

I had stopped at Pike County's airport and witnessed Senator Ray Jones, Jr. yelling, shaking his finger and generally making a complete ass of himself in front of several appalled and embarressed onlookers.

My understanding is that someone had refused to talk to him.

Most of us are totally convinced that he now fully controls the airport since his law partner was very strangely awarded an appointment that has him serving as chairman of the airport board while not even being a pilot.

He cannot force people to like him and speak to him. Political cronyism can accomplish many weird things behind closed doors, but it cannot create friends. I don't know one person up there who can tolerate his arrogance more than just what is necessary when passing him going the other way.

I was there visiting the avaition camp and I must say that I am disappointed that Ray Jones Jr. created such a disturbance. Upset that the area was surrounded by children participating in the aviation camp put on every year by volenteer pilots.

The pilot that Ray actually approached, and I use that word lightly because of fear of legal action, is a FAA Certified Flight Instructor with probably over 20,000 flying hours in all types of aircraft. And what could Ray have to prove to him using his possible 500 hours of flying experience? Could he possibly have been trying to impose his position upon someone because he didn't get what he wanted? Lastly I wonder how Ray would handle the situation if you or I abruptly interupted a discussion he and two others were having?

Just another case of one of our elected officials abusing their power. Remember what the mayor done to the local newspaper editor when Frankie got upset about what was reported. The narcissistic politicians need to remember that they work for us.

The entirety of this post is but my opinion and should be considered just that, an opinion.

I understand this happened during a youth flying camp. If so that is a terrible example to be setting for our youth Mr. Jones.

The only time these politicians know we exist is during election time. After that we are too ignorant to get out of our own way. Thats why these elitest politicians feel that they have to think and do for us because we know no better.

Seems this same buch of power brokers have their hands in everything going on in Pike County. Especially if it has money. If the old airport board had not amassed such a huge pot of money, thank you Mr. Debourbon, Ray, Frankie and Whayne could care less about it.

Now we have the Ray Ray and Frankie show in control of the peoples airport. If one lands to hard and blows a tire we the people have to spend a million dollars to protect his ego and repair a phantom dip in the runway. Now when the other Ray doesn't get the attention that he demands from another pilot we have what happened a few days ago during a youth avaition camp and children present.

And it appears that Ray feels so privilidged that he can just interupt a conversation by three adults any time he gets upset in my opinion. Well Ray if thats the correct action for someone that gets upset with others be prepared to be continually interupted by me because your actions disappoint me daily.

Ones name, wealth or political office does not give them the right to act in such a manner. Although it seems to be enough to get a board change at PBX in order to control the purse strings and transfer that Merions Branch property for a song and dance. I wonder who the board actually represents. The airport or the city? Easily answered, how many pilots are on the board?

This post contains opinions of the poster and sould be considered as such, my opinion in its entirety.

King ray you may control the board but you don't control the public.
I think that you owe Mr. Wells an appolgy. As well the youth that witnessed your tantrum.

Would have ray asking Mr. Wells for a moment when he finished his conversation he was currently having as opposed to rudely interrupting Mr. Wells and creating a scene in front of the children.

Would have ray pulling his plane out and putting it back in his hanger instead of having the airport employees do it for him. By the way there is a 18-19 year old girl on the field that does just fine on her own without troubling the airport employees to handle her plane.

Would have ray understanding this is the Pikeville Airport not the Ritz Hotel.

Is he king now? He and his queen seem to feel they are entitled to many things in the area. His queen parks that boat of a vehicle anywhere she wants, even places that the general public are not allowed. To my knowledge she is a doctor. Exercise is important. Walking a few steps to get to a destination is good for the body. So is getting a plane out of the hangar. Tantrums and laziness = entitlement, not to mention obesity.

I never liked him in school, not many people did. He always thought he was better than everyone else. So this behavior doesn't surprise me.

Sounds like Ray is showing his true colors yet again! I know people who used to work for Ray Jones and his temper was so bad that some of his employees left for lunch and never returned. He has a very hard time keeping employees for any length of time. He would talk hateful to his employees in front of anyone in his office at the time. He simply didn't care who was there to witness his childish tantrums. For Bill Hickman to say that Ray wants to apologize but don't know how is a complete joke! I mean really, come on!

I don't know who it was he disrupted, but know if they were having a private conversation and our man here just busted it apart yelling and screaming somebody should have taken him by the ear, yes just like a child, and given him a stern talking to about respect. One or two of these little stern talks and if the same behavior continues it is time for the belt. I realize we are talking about a grown arse man, but if it acts like a spoiled child then somebody should treat it as such. People like that would have benefited by spending a little time with my dad. He would warn you once, and if you was big enough to stand there and act up he wouldn't hesitate to give you a little medicine. The older we got the harder that medicine got. I don't know anybody up at the airport but there has to be somebody up there who will put him on his backside once or twice. After dusting himself off he would learn how to act in public.

Mr. Kirk Wells taught the teenager to fly and she is now an accomplished licensed pilot. Brianna, a very delicate, petite young lady, handles her own airplane without yelling and incessantly calling for airport staff to come hold her hand as does the duo of Ray and Ray.

FAA licensed flight instructor and commercial pilot, Kirk Wells, apparently was busy at the time since he was volunteering to help very young kids enter the world of aviation.

It appears that Ray S. Jones, Jr. became 'foaming at the mouth' mad because flight instructor Kirk Wells didn't drop everything to talk to him personally.

As we all know....Ray Jones, or a "friend" has filed suit because someone offended him here on this public forum.

He is said to now being gathering allies in an effort to "seek vengeance' upon instructor Wells for not bowing to him.

I can see that you would give Baby Ray the spanking that his daddy "ray blow" never had the balls to do.

I would personally love to adjust his overbearing attitude, and am more than capable of making it difficult for him to put weight on his ass for at least two days.

OUT OF A MORBID FEAR OF LEGAL ACTION BY RAY JONES I want to make it very clear, as obama says, that I threaten neither Baby Ray nor Ray blow.

I can't believe that an elected official has made such an ass of himself again, especially after what he has appeared to have done with the corruption tainted UMG and resulting legislation that appeared to have his fingerprints all over it.

There seems to be no end to the arrogance and striking out against those who apparently see him and his daddy for what they really are.

Does this mean that if Ray accidently waves at us while driving that we have to wave back or face the wrath of the chosen one?

What if we pass him on the highway and he thinks about acknowledging us and we don't do the same in return are we subject to the chosen ones wrath?

Our of fear of upsetting the chose one I shall refrain from driving or going out into public areas that Ray may be at. All hail the senator. All hail the senator.

Only one part of these statements are true, yes he did say something to Mr Wells, because he was trying to get a position report from his aircraft and again Mr Wells would not respond. After landing and declaring that he was back taxing on runway 27 Mr wells anounced he was on final approach for 27, not giving was to the aircraft on the runway. As for children being present, there were none on the tarmac or in sight of the men on the outside.
I just wish that people who are so willing to post untrue statements had the nerve to sign their real names. I spend a lot of time at the air port and any one that wants to discuss this with me feel free. RAY S JONES SR.

Now that's funny...While none have made a credible threat, many have spoken of their desire to bitch slap both Baby ray and his daddy, Ray blow. Those are the two most overbearing ass holes to ever force themselves on other people, including the airport that has been taken hostage by suspiciously acting politicians.

No one is going to say anything to their faces, or are they going to deliver some good ol country justice. Although the general public does have a right to speak without the constant threat of legal action, even speaking to one of them about their childishness causes one to reach for his wallet to see if he can really afford a financial nightmare.

Ray S. Jones, Jr. has already shown a propensity to use his power to sue individuals who confront him on this forum.

Heard Mr Wells politely informed Mr Jones Jr.(Baby Ray??)that talking on the radio is not required when landing at a uncontrolled airport. If this is true Junior must go back to flying school or politely ask Mr Wells for a refresher course. Is Mr.Wells correct? If so what should Baby Ray do Daddy Ray?

After the UMG fiasco and the problems looming at the Airport I would wager that the majority will cast their votes to anyone opposing our man here. A lot of folks were following the UMG situation and didn't care much for the way it played out. It is claimed the public possesses a very short memory come election, and it is probably true in other parts of the country, but not here. Come election there will be some changes.
