Remodeling makes a good tax write off. Factories have done it then turned around and closed them right after they did it. Don't count on that factor.

I work at Walmart, and I've heard the same thing...it's about a liquor license. If we move to Piketon, Wal-mart will be selling beer. So to those who hate it at least you'll be able to drink away your troubles on Wal-mart XD

I doubt they'd spend all the money to "move" a few miles just to sell beer...

I doubt the will or are thinking about moving it, BUT for the people saying where would thy move it to? The same place that was one of the possible locations to build when it was first built, south end of town in the fields where 23 and 32 are at

And also, if they had a liqueur license, it probably would make the money the move cost back in a year. People buy a ton of booze

I wish they would relocate all right. Clear out of state. I hate that store. Wish some other one would come to Waverly. They were alright when they first came to town, and ran k-mart out. Then when the competition was gone, they went down hill. Don't even hire enough people to have cashiers. Don't know why they don't get rid of about ten of their registers. After all they never use them!

Why would Piketon want a Walmart there? Is that the most important thing on their agenda or do they think it is the most special store they've ever visited?
NOT EVEN CLOSE

Kmart ran it's own business right out of town. That store was FILTHY, they never had the items that were in their sale papers. Them being closed was a Godsend to Pike County, not just Waverly.

The bad thing about Kmart closing was the people that lost their jobs. Maybe they should've went over to Walmart and applied for a cashier position???

Kmart had gotten the word from headquarters that the store in Waverly was going to close long before Walmart came to town. Walmart had nothing to do with it closing.
