The local "americans" don't want to work in the chicken processing plant, somebody has to do these jobs.As long as they are here legally i have no problem with them taking the jobs. legal is main issue.

There was an article in the Los Angeles Times some years back about several people who had been hired by Tysons to go to Mexico, recruit Mexicans to make their way to Monett, apply for food stamps and welfare, and apply for work at Tyson's. Monett was actually mentioned in the article, and the "recruiters" were from here.
It's not that the local Americans don't want these jobs, it's that the killing line pays low, and the work is bloody and nasty. Other jobs at Tyson's pay ok--not great--but ok, for a small town. I have a good buddy who works as a mechanic there, but sometimes they pull him to work on the kill line too.
If the Gub'mint would institute E-verify it would help, but Massa O'bama wants Dem. voters for his party, and intends to get them any way he can.
