I can't understand why they did that. They have had their own family business for years. Why just up and sale to town and country??? But I guess you got to do what you got to do. I will definitely miss ralph in the store!

I'm almost sure that it will become a County Mart now that Town & Country has purchased it from Ralph. Actually that could be a good thing for Piedmont & all the surrounding communities. The people @ Ralph's are nice & polite & I've never had a bad experience @ T & C either. Ralph will be greatly missed in the grocery business because he never failed to speak & ask how ya doing today. On a personal level that means alot to all of the hometown & surrounding communities & all customers. That's what has made him a great business man as well as a great man. Here's to you Ralph for all your years of dedication & service & good luck in the future. P.S. You could always count on him or his son to cash checks also. A great service to all.

Pick up a Wayne Co. Journal paper this week's and
you will see the pictures to prove the rumor is true.
they are already out...and Jeff Clark is now the manager of the "used to be Ralphs".

T&c has only owned it a week and I'm a little disappointed. It said in the paper that the service desk will have all the same things that Ralph did. NOT TRUE. Can't pay your internet bill there, can't get money off your card, they can't ship UPS still they figure out the machine, can't do money grams. They had no money to cash any checks. I miss Ralphs being there. It was so much easier.

What I will miss about Ralphs, is the fact that Ralph knew what customer service was about. Every time I went to T&C, the people were rude and didn't know what they were doing most of the time. You walk up to the desk and they look at you and never get up, or even say, "I'll be with you in a minute". Already at Ralph's I have carry out my own bags, and the people are borderline rude, except for the employee's that belonged to Ralph's. Kind of "everybody knows your name" kind of place, that I will miss. I went to Ralph's for the service, not the prices!!!!!

Nasty is the word I use to describe both the service and the employees that are there now. Ralph Crites had a respected name in the grocery business and to sell his business along with his "good Name and reputation" was a MAJOR mistake. For those out of town customers or the summer/holiday crowd who may not know of the sale-the current situation will leave them gagging and sorely disappointed.
But, they have us over a barrel- T&C can charge what they want and treat you the way they want. There is no competition left in the local area.
Ralphs use to smell of bleach and cleanliness in just a short time-it smells of old meat and dirt!
I am grateful that some of the employees got to stay-I am equally sure, that they will have to grit their teeth to stay. Most things will not be up to Ralphs high standard.
God help them. It is hard to have make a choice between a pay check and doing things the RIGHT way with a smile and be there for the customers!
Surely SOMEONE is willing to put in a competitor for T&C Nastiness, Inc! PLEASE
