Then leave. Let those of us who want to support everyone's education get on with our lives.
Then buy my house...haven't you noticed people don't want to move to Pickerington anymore. Once it is sold we will be happy to escape such an area where video games, and rich kids running the street is encouraged over family time and values.

Congratulations Pickerington!!! Looks like the levy passed :)
Where are you seeing the levy passed? It does seem one will fail...then one will pass. So I'm really not surprised. The vote no group is growing stronger and therefore will hopefully be a bigger voice next time!

Now that a levy passed you may have better luck selling your house. How can so many people claim to support family values, but be vehemently opposed to supporting schools? I haven't seen these rich kids running the streets or anyone supporting them, but I'll keep my eye out for them.

I bet you bought your house during the housing boom and want more than your house is worth. You can sell your house if you want to just price it at the current fair market value and not what you paid for it. And just to let you know this is going on everywhere not just Pickerington. Please move, you are hurting our community.

Will all of you "YES" voters pay my tax increase? You are so willing to pony up the extra dollars for the teachers, what's a little more? If you don't think the money will not go to salaries and benefits, you really should look at the school's next budget and take a look at teachers and administration salaries.

Congratulations to you, you just gave the unions the money they need to re-elect Obama! That is what it is all about, do your math...$750.00 x all the teachers in the union....That's a lot of campaign contributions!!!
I am grateful

The levy passed! Now we will sell our house and move to a place where the schools are lousy, the houses are cheap and the taxes are low.

Well done "yes" voters. Well done.

So, the same people voting no are the same people blamimg McDonalds for getting their kids fat and video games for making them stupid. Don't worry about physical education, recess, art or any of the things that keep your fat ignorant children just a little active. We all know you can spend the money and energy on voting no, but god forbid you support the people that are the real parents anymore, our teachers. By voting no you can at least tell yourselves you have no responsibility for the education of your children, it will always be someone else's fault. I voted yes because I take the reposibility of my children's education seriously. If you don't like it get the hell out, its a free country. The hilltop could use a few more idiots in their system.

So, before all of you get your conservative, tea party, american underwear in a punch, you are being truly ignorant. You all will jump on the wagon when it has to do about the country being ahead of China, but are blocking it at the simplest level. Our students education. PIckerington Local Schools spends the LEST per pupil, and has the HIGHEST test scores of the area. Do not tell me they are not doing something right down at PLSD. Have they made mistakes, yes. No one saw this economic issue coming, and we are paying the price of tax breaks to the rich, and unregulated wall street. The conservatives of today are not even true conservatives anymore. So before you start acting high and mighty, get of the soap box, come join us at earth, and help us put the students through school. Help put me through school. I am 16, in band, track, key club, renaissance, and many more of school programs that I have to worry about not being there next year. I am also an honors student taking mostly AP classes. You have no idea how ignorant, and misinformed you sound. I have to work a job so i can pay for school fees. So before you go and say we are all rich here, don't. We all have to give a little in hard times. Maybe you will have to go to rule (3) one less time a month to pay for the $10-$20 a month. Cry me a river.

The avg. teach makes $55,000, with teachers who have been working under 10 years make around $29,000. Do not say the teachers are over paid. You have to love children and teaching to do that job.

Not all trachers are pro-obama. I know a lot how are not. From my district, we look at Pickerington to help us out on how we can teach better. They are one of the best districts of this state. And the students deserve a text book that is not form the 80's and filled with non-updated information
