Hey, look! That's where we live! The OLD school building! It looks the same as it did 5 years ago.:)
what a shame

Everytime I go by the school I feel so sorry for those horses living in the grapevine Elementary parking lot...the humane society should step in on this. Those horses are eating off the concrete with nothing there instead of grass. They are standing on hard concrete all day and night. If you go by when it is raining or snowing all the horses are trying to fit under the shelter that goes over the entrance of the school......they all cannot fit but they ground under there to get out of the weather......it is just pitiful and very very bad way for horses to have to live.....I heard one of them died and was covered with a blue tarp in the parking lot....so sad and looks as sad as it sounds if you go by there take a look.

If not for ignorant people in this world, life would be so dull. you heard wrong whoever you are and for your info thanks to so called friends and neighbors the animal control people have been out and FOUND NOTHING WRONG WITH MY HORSES. What do you think wild horse use for shelter? There is no law in Ky that says one has to provide shelter for horses, but mine do have shelter and will soon be up in the field as soon as the weather breaks enough to finish the fence. They turn over their feed buckets & eat their grain off the pavement & we scatter treats for them. My horses are much happier and healthier than they were when they stood all the time in a nasty barn stall. I invite any one to come by and take a look, We will even take you in the lot for a closeup look if you like. What is so sad is that people like you get some kind of kick out of harassing other people and making slanderous remarks, all of which are against the law. I have numerous books on raising and training horses and you may borrow them if you like to increase you knowledge. I don't know who you are, but it is obvious you don't know me. I love my horses, they are more to me than just pets.

And as for the horse that passed away, he had a parasite called EPM. http://horses.about.com/od/diseasesandillness...

And he did not die in the school parking lot. He passed away in the field behind it, and was buried the same day. His grave is up in the field as well, not under some "blue tarp". Treatment was done, even vet visits.

But by the time the illness was cured, it caused a lasting damage that could not be undone.

Don't judge something purely on gossip and rumors.

So where is your evidence that he was in the parking lot covered with a tarp?, "I heard"?

I would not normally post anything on such a site but things have gone far enough and I have been persecuted over my horses long enough. I do not bother anyone, I do not gossip about anyone. I do not make up lies about anyone. I mind my own business. If I were not taking care of my horses it would be a different matter. I am not the kind of person who locks animals up in a pen and Lets them go hungry and thirsty. My daughter does an excellent job of taking care of them, She loves them as much as I do. I see you make no mention of seeing her over there every day feeding them(twice to three times a day) or grooming them several times a week no matter what the weather is and when she can't my son does. It's too bad you people didn't see those who were tearing the inside of the building up, stealing everything they could get their hands on. Where where your eyes then? Or was that you? Also do you see the ones shooting paint balls at my horses or throwing screws and nails into the lot. I'm putting up surveillance cameras and if I see any harm being done to my horses they will be prosecuted.

your stupid as hell get your facts straight before you run your ignorant mouth those horses eat better than you and they have been checked and they get vet care when needed and there is more shelter for them than that they do that on thier own free will im so tired of stupid ass people who has nothing better to do that butt in on oter peoples business get a life and deal with your own stay out of everyone elses and by the way anytime anyone wants to check those horses they are more than welcome and the same goes for mine so back off shut your stupid ass mouth and grow a set and use your real name and that isnt public property anymore its private property so stay away from it unless your told different or be lawed also slander can be considered grounds for action as well so watch your mouthand leave my mom and her horses alone and if anyone has anything to say to me im very easily found

I am not judging anyone, cuz that is not my job (only God has that right). I am just curious of who owns that school property now. I heard(I know hearsay) that it was bought by a holding company out of Texas I think it was and this company leases to land companies and that it was going to be mined.

Actually you are pretty stupid. The humane society you mean, has already been here because of foolish red necks like you. Found nothing wrong. Just because you can't see the food does not mean it's not there. They were up behind the school in the field all day the day you drove by except for when they were eating their feed and hay around 10:00 a.m. Food is horded in the cafeteria of the school. And their water is located in the two huge containers next to the fence on the lower side. They are fed twice a day, and constantly watered. If you consider the horses skinny that makes you even more ignorant. Since many people I ask can see the fat on three of them from the road. As for who you are, it won't take me long to find out.

I have been around horses all my life. The animals @ the school seen to be taking care to a point. I thinks all animals need shelter form the rain, snow and harmful elements. Wild animal can find different places to avoid the elements. But captive animal horse, dogs, cats, pigs, cows, goat, mules and the like can't do that. I'm not telling anyone how to care for there animals. Mostly because people that need to be told the basics about animal care are not going to take advice anyways. Therefor I will end this with now these words are from the Bible not me.
"In that day I will make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field and the birds of the air and the creatures that move along the ground. Bow and sword and battle I will abolish from the land, so that all may lie down in safety." (Hosea 2:18)"
Your Animals are in Your Care. As you are in Gods care. Do as you would have done unto yourself animal or Human!

I have not been on this site for a very long time but I had a feeling to check it out one more time. Again, I see that ignorance again rules. Mr. BigCritter I happen to know a little about horses myself. But what really gets me is ignorant people like yourself & only one of me criticize & judge without knowing all the facts and I don't have to justify myself to you or anyone else. God knows my horses are taken care of, and use of the scripture is. And I need no one to tell me how to take care of my horses. As far as the Golden Rule goes "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" I put my name on here now you put yours And let us have a conversation in person!

This is not the OLD Grapevine Elementary School. This is really the new school. The OLD school was about 3 miles down Grapevine Rd on the OLD ROAD which is now the lake access. The OLD School is now under water as it was taken for part of Fishtrap Lake.

I used to go there when I was in grade school and it was a great school. It had some great classmates and teachers that I will never forget. Yes it has went down hill a little bit but its nothing to bad seriously!
