I heard recently from one of the other shop owners in the Trappe shopping center that someone finally signed on to take the superfresh anchor spot, but they weren't allowed to say what it was. Now I wonder if it is Shoprite.

I live near the Trappe Shopping center. There is work of some sort going on in the large space where Clements/SuperFresh used to be. I can't tell if they are prepping the place for a new store or making repairs. It appears to be more than just maintenance.

The latest word is that the long-vacant former Clemens in the Trappe Shopping Center will reopen as a combined Indian-themed supermarket AND restaurant.

Longview has updated their materials for the Trappe Shopping center. The new store is called Bhavani Food Market. Bhavani also has a location in Exton. They have divided up the Clemens/Superfresh space and the half that isn't the Indian/Asian store is still listed as available.

Whether the new Shoprite store is in Collegeville or Trappe, either way that is good news, especially for those of us up near Royersford. That means Giant will no longer have a supermarket monopoly in the area. True, Target has groceries too but not the inventory a supermarket has.
