HARRISBURG - Some of Gov. Corbett's top deputies seemed to have been quite taken, while he was the state attorney general, with graphic images of unusual objects inserted into women's vaginas.
Explicit emails put on display for reporters yesterday by Attorney General Kathleen Kane - in perhaps the strangest political peep show in history - included videos of women masturbating by inserting a bowling pin and a lit cigar.
In another video, a man who looks like a race-car driver shakes a bottle of champagne, uncorks it and then inserts the spouting mouth of the bottle into a woman's vagina while others watch.
He then takes a big gulp of the bubbly. And not from the bottle.
The emails were recovered from the inboxes of eight Corbett deputies, including five who went on to high-profile public jobs when he became governor.
That includes State Police Commissioner Frank Noonan, Department of Environmental Protection Secretary Chris Abruzzo, former Secretary of Legislative Affairs Chris Carusone, former Press Secretary Kevin Harley, who is now an adviser to Corbett's re-election campaign, and Glenn Parno, who oversees oil and gas regulation for DEP.
Those Corbett deputies and others considered to be connected to the explicit emails did not respond to requests for comment.
Lynn Lawson, Corbett's communications director, said the images as described by the reporters who saw them "are unacceptable and have no place in the work environment."
Corbett has said he was told about "inappropriate" emails in May but has not seen them.

Unfortunately for us women, a large amount of men from all walks of life participate in absorbing porn. If you think democratic men are not participating in this garbage, think again. I find it rare for any American man not to view porn. Just disgusting. They (men) talk through both sides of their mouth, "oh, yes, I respect women, now let me get back to my porn show".

Ann you sound like a complete prude. Believe it or not all women are not treated disrespectful by men. Men and women alike usually are treated unfavorably simply because they are unfavorable people. Take a good look in the mirror because you sound like one.

Obama Official Praises Mosque Of Oklahoma Beheader Alton Nolen
10/05/2014

An Obama administration official traveled to Oklahoma City Saturday to offer words of praise to congregants at the mosque attended by Alton Nolen, the recent Muslim convert who beheaded a co-worker last month.

David Myers, the director of the Department of Homeland Security’s Center for Faith-based & Neighborhood Partnerships, spoke at the Greater Islamic Society of Oklahoma City’s Eid al-Adha celebration, according to KFOR.

“Your service is a powerful example of the shared roots of the Abrahamic faiths and how our communities can come together in shared peace with dignity and a sense of justice,” said Myers, reading from a letter penned by President Obama.

Supreme Court Clears the Way for Gay Marriage in a Bunch of Conservative States

The Supreme Court has rejected gay marriage appeals from five states, allowing the nuptials to take place in some of the nation's most conservative regions.

Justices "denied petitions on Monday in all seven of the cases challenging bans on same-sex couples' marriage rights, bringing marriage equality to five states and holding off high court review for now," writes BuzzFeed.

The decision not to take on the appeal in any of the pending certiorari petitions brings marriage equality to Indiana, Oklahoma, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Utah. It also makes the appeals court decisions striking down the marriage bans in those states the law of the land in the 4th Circuit, 7th Circuit, and 10th Circuit courts of appeals - a result that makes marriage equality likely to come in short order in all states within those circuit.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to take up the hotly contested issue of gay marriage, a surprise move that will allow gay men and women to marry in five states where same-sex weddings were previously banned.

By rejecting appeals in cases involving Virginia, Oklahoma, Utah, Wisconsin and Indiana, the court left intact lower-court rulings that struck down bans in those states.

Other states under the jurisdiction of appeals courts that struck down the bans will also be affected, meaning the number of states with gay marriage is likely to quickly jump from 19 to 30.

Obama, GOP agree: His policies are on the ballot
October 3, 2014

There's at least one thing that President Obama and his Republican critics agree on: Obama's policies are big issues in upcoming congressional elections.

"Now, I am not on the ballot this fall — Michelle is pretty happy about that," Obama said during his economic speech Thursday at Northwestern University in Illinois. "But make no mistake: These policies are on the ballot — every single one of them."

Republicans seized on the comments. Their national committee blasted out an e-mail hailing "some not-so-great news" for Democratic incumbents and congressional candidates.

"President Obama just nationalized all of their races," said the GOP statement. "As President Obama made clear by declaring that his agenda was on the ballot this fall, a vote for a Democrat is a vote for him and his failed policies."

Gallup: Voter opposition to Obama at 16-year high, worse than Bush, Clinton
October 5, 2014

Angry and frustrated voters are planning to use the midterm elections in one month to tell President Obama they oppose his agenda, the highest “no vote” percentage in the last 16 years measured by Gallup.

The polling outfit found that 32 percent of voters want to send a message of opposition with their vote, compared to just 20 percent who are sending a signal of support.

That is 13 points higher than in 1998 when former President Clinton was headed to impeachment for lying about his sex affair with a former White House intern and even a smidge higher — 2 points — than in 2008, when Americans were tired of President Bush’s military actions in Iraq and Afghanistan.
