Just outside of Collegeville Chiccorines is by far the best and most consistant restaurant and has been for the 15 years I have been going there.

Well, they're not in Collegeville, but are only about 10 minutes away in Phoenixville, there are a few that I really like: The Columbia Bar & Grille, Molly Maguire's, The Black Lab AND NOT TO BE FORGOTTEN (very understaded -- my husband and I walked by for months before we tried, since it looked like a regular pizza shop: Frank's pizza. The Franko's salad is fantastic and so is almost everything else there. They also have a liquor license and the owner, Frank and his daughters work there, they are very friendly and the service is great. You definitely should try. Plus very reasonably priced.)

Well, it's not in Collegeville, but just a mile away in Royerford is the best Italian i've had in a long time at Mama Velias just accross from Target on Ridge Pike. Great entrees and the best brick oven gourmet pizza!!
They are even kid friendly and have a patio for outdoor dining- it's worth the extra mile drive from Collegeville

To answer the question from "resident" above, Bella Rosy is in the Evensburg shopping center on Germantown Pike at the corner of Evansburg Road- not bad for a local pizza joint.

Also, I live in Collegeville just a couple mins away from Bella Rosy (don't know why it says Philly under my name)

Speck's Chicken --- it rocks for chicken but also cheeseburgers, cheesesteaks, hoagies, soups and salads!

I'm a big fan of Satchmo's, across the street from the old Wawa. It's more of a sandwhich shop but it's good.

We have lived in Collegeville since Dec 02' and have seen it grow into a budding and great area for many reasons! We really like all of the restaurants already listed but we recently have started going to the "French Quarter Bistro" on Main St in Royersford. It's New Orleans style, very reasonably priced, incredible food! Adjacent to the Royersford Hotel (which we never knew existed)... they do have a full bar, overall it's NOT to be missed! We also love the Collegeville Diner for either a good breakfast on the weekends or a quick bite. It's consistent, costs little, and the food is good.

I'll second the Ortino's, I consider it the best pizza in the area, and even better is their place up the road on Route 29 in Zieglerville, NorthSide! AMAZING beer selection and Italian food!
