CM: I need to get a clue? One simple question: Who can raise your children better than you? If you can answer that with any other answer then "no one", then by all means use daycare. Sorry, but chances are my comments hit too close to home for you.

not a matter of who raises children better, it's a matter of how do you propose to make ends meet pay for their food, doctor's visits, & other needs w/o working? welfare? if you're a single parent w/no other form of income to support the family HOW do you propose to feed your kids?

what is the right thing? if you're a stay at home mom with no job, no income, no means to feed your kids, no means to pay your bills, & no means to get the medical bills your kids alone will accumulate(or do you avoid that too?), what is the right thing to do? stay at home bringing your kids down w/you till children & youth takes them for their own well-being, or get off your arse & get a job & use a day care?

Wilma, you are correct. Special situations like being a single parent are excluded from my words. I should have made it clear that special circumstances certainly apply.(A parent dies, etc.) The comments are directed to duel income parents who actively made the decision to have a child and now choose money over children. Being that this is a Skippack / Montco county discussion, your example will not be the likely case of most of the people posting. If you are in the situation stated above, then you should be more practical then living in one of the most expensive counties in PA.

it's personal choice when people decide to become dual income families & use these daycares. each has their own reasons why they do it. I am dual income & we both work to be able to afford what we want & do what we please as a family. it's not money over children. children are a clear reflection of parents whether at home or out. you could be a stay at home mom with crappy values & teaching kids those values which society will see later. but to call out dual income parents for chosing money over children is just as ridiculous as asking all women remain barefoot, pregnant, & home at all times.

Hi,
Was it your intent to troll this post that clearly has no interest for you to simply insult the rest of us? In my years as a stay at home mom, I recall many moms "spending quality time" with their kids while on the phone at the park and booking play dates to free up time for themselves.
Thanks for sharing your judgemental perspective.

Jmom you nailed it. Both SAHM and working moms are great moms. In the end it is the quality of the time you spend with your kids not quantity. Simply put there are good parents and bad parents regardless of whether you work outside of the home or in. It is hard work being a parent lets band together instead of judging each other..sheesh.

Agree to stay away from kinderworks. Some of their teachers are great, but the owner is a whacko. She's terrible to the staff and was nasty to me (a parent)!
Kindercare is amazing! So nice and easy to work with and all 3 of my kids love it there!
