What? Where in the article can you find the words Medical Marijuana? The article was about the unbelievable waste of time effort and tax payer money trying to eridicate a plant that has never killed a single human being in the thousands of years of use.
Or should I say, "The near sighted prohibitionist's ruse continues..."

Just once I'd like to see a headline, "The Meth Lab Raids Continue." or maybe "Police work extra hard to crack down on crack". But sadly we won't as the 2 above mentioned narcotics are typically controlled by very dangerous psychopaths. And why should we ask the police to put themselves in danger when it's a whoooooole lot easier to take down agricultural, cooperative (although giggling), cannabis users.
It's time to reclassify Cannabis from a schedual 1 narcotic to schedual 3.
Cannabis is NOT Meth or Coke. Asprin and Caffiene kill more people, and we willingly feed that garbage to our kids.
Cannabis laws are like a $35 overdraft fee on a $.50 charge. They both exist for the sole purpose of making a profit with as little effort as possible.
Don't take my word thou, look it up.

I can't believe you turds are fine and dandy with dirtbags from all over the place filtering into Ukiah to grow their dope. And your an idiot if you think LEA's are pulling crops because its safer than dealing with meth/coke. Most of these gardens have illegals and/or sh*tbags guarding the crop.....and yes they are known to be armed. Get an effing clue and a real job.

When will the persecution stop? Come on, people, isn't it obvious we are dealing with a bunch of greedy dope growers here? It would be more true to say there is no such thing as med mar. It is money mar. Period.

I bet these busts determine the fate of cannabis once and for all. Maybe instead of 10000 metric tons, the US will only domestically produce 9999 metric tons this year. Bravo or something.

I was sitting in traffic in Willits yesterday and a white Sheriff pickup drove by and the bed was filled to the rails with MJ .... I was one proud individual of Tom and his men and then I said to myself, "Dang if that was me traveling with vegetable manner in an open pick-up bed then the cops would sure as heck give me a ticket for not properly covering my load."

Tom, feel free to get some blue tarps at your next bust-site and cover the evidence..... cant have that poison scattered all over the streets!!!

Your doing good man!

I would like to know where you got your information. Manufacturing meth is more dangerous than growing a plant. Do you know what goes into creating meth? Chemical vs. natural... HMMM which is more dangerous?

A marijuana raid west of Ukiah Wednesday morning resulted in the arrest of 15 suspects from Israel, Indiana, Michigan, Colorado, and California.

In other raids, police working in the Indian Creek area east of Philo also eradicated 25,700 marijuana plants, a Thursday report from the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office stated.

Nearby at 13321 Low Gap Road, 715 marijuana plants also of varying ages between 6 inches and 6 feet tall were eradicated by officers and 13 were arrested, the Sheriff's Office stated.

According to the Sheriff's Office none of the 15 arrested on suspicion of growing marijuana and possession of marijuana for sale said to police that they were permanent residents in the Ukiah area.

Arrested in the Low Gap raids and taken to Mendocino County Jail were Ariel Serota, 23, of Galil Alion, Israel, Itamar Perez, 22, of Rishonlee Zion, Israel, Matrin Alexander, 27, Trisha Foulk, 35, Qayyuma Didomenico, Scott Briscoe, 37, and Brandi Caro, 30 from San Francisco, Jess Kahn, 25, of Oakland, Aaron Schulman, 28, of Tahoe City, Adam Strong, 32, of Indianapolis, Amy Thornton, 25, of Denver, Rachel Latvala, 23, of Ann Arbor, Mich., Kindra Greentree, 29, of Denver, Marcos Manila, 28, of Los Angeles, Aaron Brandy AraQuistain, 30, of San Bruno.

According to the Sheriff's Office, Didomenico and Briscoe were at 13333 Low Gap Road. The 13 others were at 13321 Low Gap Road.
Sheriff's Lt. Rusty Noe, aided by the County of Mendocino Marijuana Eradication Team, Campaign Against Marijuana Planting and the Drug Enforcement Administration served search warrants in the two Low Gap Road raids.

COMMET, CAMP and the DEA were working in the field on the Philo-area raids, the Sheriff's Office stated

OK, please highlight the medical marijuana claims in this article. Thank you

Wow, your brilliant. Read carefully and then comment. Nowhere did I say growing a plant is dangerous. I said cops risk their safety busting gardens. I am well aware meth labs are extremely dangerous to the environment and humans. Unfortunately, you cant really locate meth labs from a helicopter.

My buddies? I'm not sticking up for these people. I'm merely stating how pointless this latest round of busts is. Exactly how much of a dent does enforcement put into marijuana production every year, 10%?

The various LEAs would have to pull 25,000 plants per day to make any difference. Cheering them on is kidding yourself. It is the same mentality that we are "winning" the war in Iraq or Afghanistan or that all of this stimulus is actually doing a thing for the economy. It's a waste of money and no wonder the government is broke.

I don't remember cheering, and I agree this is a battle that will not be won anytime soon. But I hope you don't think throwing your arms up and surrendering to pot crops is the best idea for this area. There has to be an attempt to regulate/eradicate.

Yes, you are sticking up for your buddies. Your comments can only be interpreted to mean the Sheriff should not bust these greedy criminals. Doing nothing when Craver and Vroman were here is why we have these dope idiots flocking to our town. Your solution, which is to do nothing, will guarantee that we will be overrun by dope thugs.

At least people taking aspirin and drinking coffee are working and paying taxes... unlike the **** arrested here.
I see very few stoners, growers and drug dealers holding down a 40/hr a week job paying stated & federal taxes, social security, health insurance, etc. They're just a burden on the working class. I'm glad to get them out of our neighborhoods and our community.
And there it is! I was waiting for it. the old jealousy post about how the commercial dealers don't pay taxes.lol Thanks old lady for not making me wait too long! Typical prohibitionist thinking. Boo hoo...I pay taxes and they don't.lol
The real burden to the working class is this prohibition that has cost America more money than any drug dealer/ grower ever will. But of course...prohibition fits into your agenda so your happy to see billions of your taxes go toward it. Sure is funny to see what you guys and gals consider worthwhile expenditures.

It is not jealousy. That assumes we want to be like them. You might, but we don't.

It is outrage that we have a bunch of greedy freeloaders who are dragging us down and not contributing their fair share. That is what has people upset. I would not want to be like them in a million years. I don't envy those who think the best they can do is to live a criminal lifestyle.
