Since the last hit and run incident, it's quite obvious that my observation is absolutely correct. We have raised a selfish generation. People who are unwilling to take responsibilities for their actions. The "me-me-me" generation is willing to kill or maim another human without feeling or thought, unwilling to accept consequences even for what may truly be an accident.
Please, let's teach our children responsibility. From the time they are small, owning up to their actions, being assigned chores, having a place in life without feeling as though the world revolves around them, will ultimately create a human being who is caring, things of others, pulls their own weight in life and will own up to their mistakes in whatever aspect of life that is necessary.

How do you know the age of the driver?? What generation is he/she from?? I do agree that the kids/young adults today are a very narcissistic "me-me -me" generation but we can't assume the age of the person that drove away.

This is so right. You don't see younger people caring what they do. I am 35 and consider myself in the younger group of people who still have a heart and care. However I have a son who is a senior who works, plays sports, and gets good grades. However I can say I think highly of only one of his friends.

The young people just don't care. Why in my day we had to walk 20 miles to school through the pot fields, and we cared about our fellow grower. Now days, the youngs kids just want their ipods and video games and their energy drinks, and still just want to sit around and whine.....

Daily Horoscope for January 6

Scorpio

Don't let yourself be caught up in a crowd mentality. Just because someone else makes a major production out of what should be a simple matter, doesn't necessarily mean that it has to affect you adversely. You might be able to bring down the volume with a tap on the shoulder and a meaningful look. Even though it might not seem like it, your cool head is definitely appreciated at times like this.
