Good news--Philipsnurg's latest grocery store will soon be open at the place of the former Bi-Lo store.

I just hope the prices are reasonable and not like Bi Lo aka Bi Hi. They can get what they want in P-burg due to lack of real competition and far away lower prices on food.

I once did an actual shop at Bi Lo and then about two weeks later bought all the same exact things at Giant in State College, the savings at Giant was worth the gas.

Yeahhh, all is great in Pburg. The County Market opened and is doing a great business. I noticed less cars in Weis parking lot lately.

Of course, neither can beat Giant in SC. They double coupons including $1.00. Sweetheart is right --coupon savings more than makes up for the gas to travel there.

Weis and County Market--still in dark ages and only double up to 99 cents.

I've been to the new County Market and wasn't too thrilled with the prices. I'd rather go to the Philipsburg Market.

Wow! You save a whole 2 cents per coupon by drving a 50 mile round trip.........personally I like living in the dark-ages. It saves me 2 1/2 gallons of gas,and an hour of travel time.

I like that they will have the winery but I'm sticking with hometown market. That place has great prices and the staff there are super nice to their customers. Way nicer than any other store in p-burg!

She isn't saving 2 cents per coupon. She's saving way more!
You need someone to teach you about coupons. I've walked away from a grocery store with $300 worth of food for less than $100 by using double coupons at Giant.
Maybe you shouldn't mock someone when you don't know what you are talking about.

You are kidding, aren't you? the poster said Giant doubles a coupon up to one dollar, where as County Market and Weis only double up to 99 cents......that equals 2 pennies when doubled. I do not need to be a coupon shopper(which both my wife and myself are)to understand basic math. In fact my wife has managed to make it out of the doors at Weis with $200.00 in groceries for roughly 35 bucks just a few weeks ago. I would say that gives me the right to mock anyone on their coupon savy.

Ok First off I'm not arguing with someone. Educating is more the term here.
Secondly there are no .99 cent coupons. They are mainly $1.
Take 200 $1 coupons to giant and lets just say you actually use all 200 coupons. That is $400 off.
Take those same coupons and use them all at weis, you get $200 off.
I have been a couponer for 30 years. In all my years I have never seen a .99 coupon.

Hey, don't get me wrong. I like coupons too but damn, you guys really get upset over them. There's far more crazier and upsetting things to be mad over and I just don't see coupons as one of them.

coupon lover is DEFINITELY correct. You do need to be educated on coupon use or maybe you could sign up for the Everyday Math that is being offered in the PO school district.

I hate to continue the argument on coupons but, unless I'm mistaken, you are saving more than just 2-cents by going to store that doubles $1.00 coupons. Using the coupon at Weis will give you the item for $1.00 less and will not double that $1.00. Giant will double the coupon therefore you are getting $2.00 off the item. A 99-cent couple is evenly matched between the two stores, but I see for more $1.00 coupons than I see 99-cent coupons which would result in $2.00 off at Giant but only $1.00 of at Weis.

If I had a company that made food and put out coupons, I would make a ton of .99 coupons just to counteract these stores that double coupons up to .99 I think that would be funny lol
