I saddens me that a local dealer that pays local taxes and supports our community the way Jenkins Ford does, would be passed over for some out of town dealer. So the vehicle out of town was lets say, 100 dollars cheaper. Hey Willie, ever hear about spending money on gas while traveling? The thing that pisses me off more, is our spineless commissioners who just set there like three toads on a rock and let this stuff happen. Shame on all of you!! Maybe when our Little League needs money, or the High School needs money for a project, maybe the four dumbasses can travel to the out of town Ford dealership and ask them for a donation. Kudos to Sheriff Miller for his attempt to do the right thing. God this is awful!!!!

The really extra bad thing I hear is that Jenkins Ford will have to honor the warranties and do the maitenance on the cars, no matter what county they come from.

This is usual business for upshur county sometime when you have time look at your county city and school teachers vehicles and see where the stickers on the back say they where bought they forget who pays there wages local business it is a free country and they can shop where they want as far as Jenkins ford goes if there not good enough to sell it there not good enough to service it tell Willie Parker to drive the sob back to where they bought and then see how much money the save

Why are city employees allowed to drive city owned vehicles to their homes out in the county ? If I lived in the city it would upset me that my tax dollars were being misused ! So the city buys vehicles elsewhere to save a little bit of money and gasoline is $355.9 a gallon and employees are using them for personal vehicles ???

Please wait...
It should have been a closed bid to all LOCAL car dealerships. Here is my input on the replacement of NEW public service vehicles. They should not be replaced UNLESS they fail to pass a state inspection. I am not talking replacement of tires or brakes...I am talking about MAJOR defections that make them incapable of repair. Most people in this county have to use their vehicles for much longer and more travel than most utility vehicles owned by the city/county. Just because another county has "upgraded" does not mean our city/county have to "keep up with the Jones'". Looking at the 40 and 50 thousand dollar vehicles some of the agencies drive is sickening as a taxpayer.
