Arthur Sumbry to be saved?

What will local officials do to save Arthur Sumbry this time? Actually, he was not saved the last time he committed perjury. He was convicted and sentenced to probation, but he was removed from the city council. He should be removed again and not be given a pardon by the governor. A civil trial has already taken place where the judge ruled in favor of the side that was against the side that Sumbry was on. That is where the current perjury charges comes from. Sumbry's testimony was apparently deemed untruthful. He testified about a deed that was a forgery, so that is where the current forgery charge comes from. Sounds like a solid case against Sumbry. So why doesn't he just admit his guilt and step down without causing Phenix City more embarrassment. That would allow the voters of his district to elect someone to take his place as long as there are 12 months or more left in his term. If he waits and gets convicted the people in his district will have to rely on the city council to appoint someone to take his place. That is not a good idea in this city.

Sorry, are you correct in your spelling of the name? I thought it was Arthur Scumbry.

SCUMBRY will plea bargain to probation with special terms to include resigning his council seat and not ever seeking political office in Russell County. Should happen in the spring. By the way, according to the Alabama Department of Pardons and Parole, he has NEVER been pardoned. He has 2 felony convictions with these two new ones coming up. I thought we had a habitual offender act in Alabama. Here's why he gets slapped on the wrist, THE BLACK VOTE on the south side!!! No one wants to lose those voters. They are bused in to voting precincts, and most are absentee ballots that the candidates go door to door getting filled out and notarized, under the pretense of saving them a trip to the polls. Ronnie Reed, Arthur Scumbry, Michelle Walker have all been caught red-handed doing this, by LAW ENFORCEMENT and NOTHING was done. The politicians are afraid of losing the black vote. PUSSY's is what they are. they do not respect or honor the OATH they take. More to come.

So what will become of the most recent Scumbry incident? It seems the alarm was set off at his old mortuary and the PC Police, who know he no longer owns the business and that CB&T had forclosed upon, called Scumbry who told them to meet him at his new location which is in a residential area. While the police did that, the reason for the alarm, a burglary, was completed and the crooks got away with items that actually belonged to Scumbry's relatives who had purchased the business from CB&T. Wonder where those stolen items are now? Maybe the police should check Scumbry's new location. Maybe he is also running a pawn shop with his new mortuary. Why would the police call him when the alarm went off? Are they that inept?
