Is this a stupid move or a good move? If the property on Broad Street is so valuable, why aren't there lines of people throwing money at City Hall to purchase it? What property has sold along Broad Street recently because of possible development of the river front? Why was Arthur Sumbry allowed to participate on the council and vote on purchasing this building after it has been revealed that the Pardons and Parole Board has no documentation of him ever receiving a pardon for his past felony conviction? There are a lot of questions that need to be answered.

Anytime you can buy land in these times it is a good investment, here in new hanover co North Carolina our politicans bought some land on the road front for $500.000,it is now worth over four million. Also try to get over the Sumbry case it will work out,no need to upset yourself on something that you have no control over.

Right! These are the same people who are against Govt Spending. The mayor helped bring down the Homer D. Cobb Little Shop of Horror`s once in the past so why not let him finish it off!

Cobb Hospital... what a spooky sight that place is now. I rode by the back, near where the Emergency Room used to be a couple of times recently, and get an actually frieghtening vibe down that way. Hope they manage to salvage the place one way or another, for the sake of the poor folks who have to live right by it.
