No, I wouldn't blame them, but Doo-Nanny has not been, nor ever will be, cancelled.

The New York Times article on Doo-nanny also featured some splendid photos of the Doo-Nanny, which have not been linked to here yet.

Backwoods Design and the Art of a Doo Nanny - There were a core group of intrepid makers and their fans there, about 1,000 visitors on the last weekend in March.

A burning effigy was a nod to Burning Man, the extreme art camp in the Nevada desert.

The Doo Nanny, which has been held for the last three years on Mr. Anthony's property, an 80-acre family compound in the Alabama woods, is a "micro" folk-art festival.

The New York times article is about Butch, his home and lifestyle.
You conveniently started the slideshow at the picture of $Doo-Nanny$ when if fact the other pictures are of Butch and his home and land.
The story was published in the Home & Garden section NOT the entertainment or cultural section of the NT Times and $Doo-Nanny$ is only mentioned because of Butch and the fact it is on his property.
I think this is a gross misrepresentation of the notoriety and popularity of $Doo-Nanny$, just another example of something being portrayed for what it isn't.

And Butch Anthony is the heart and soul of Doo-Nanny, so naturally discussion of one leads to the other.
