Jesus Was Married?

Theory: Jesus Christ was married to Mary Magdalene and may have had children and their continued bloodline is Christianity’s deepest secret.

Facts: The theory finds its basis in the Gospel of Philip from the Gnostic Gospels, which were discovered in 1945 and whose authenticity religious experts still dispute. In the Gospel of Philip, Mary Magdalene, who is referred to as Jesus’ koinonos, a Greek term for “companion” or “partner,” is depicted as being closer to Jesus than any other apostle. In the Gnostic Gospels and exchange happens between Mary and Peter when he admits that “the Savior loved you above all other women”.

The Gnostic Gospels are early Christian writings containing many secrets of the early Christian religion and were found in Upper Egypt, a location where many Christians fled during the Roman invasion of Jerusalem. Undisturbed since their concealment almost two thousand years ago, these manuscripts of Christian mysticism rank in importance with the Dead Sea Scrolls. These writings affirmed the existence of the doctrine of reincarnation being taught among the early Jews and Christians. The discovery in 1945 yielded writings that included some long lost gospels, some of which were written earlier than the known gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. The Christian Gnostics emphasized spiritual knowledge rather blind faith as the road to salvation.

Unanswered Questions: The church still denies the authenticity of any of the Gnostic Gospels, especially the Gospel of Mary or the Gospel of Philip. The only other Biblical evidence to support this conspiracy theory is the repeated mention of Jesus kissing Mary often, but some say kissing was the custom and typical of Jesus to practice with those close to him/(Judas ring a bell?)

Ideas: The Church is hiding the secret or (original) royal bloodline of Jesus and Mary Magdalene. If the Gnostic Gospels are authentic and Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene, the entire doctrine of the Church practiced for thousands of years is undermined.

It is certainly probable that Jesus was married and had children, although proving that his bloodline is still lingering around today is unlikely, but what about that makes it inherently un-Biblical we don’t know. The Church is forever guilty of refusing to evolve when new evidence contradicts acts their 2,000 year old theories.

Have you read Da Vinci Code? It's a great, albeit lengthy read, and I think something youd find fascinating.

Yeah I read that years ago along with Angels & Demons. Dan Brown has a good imagination especially when adding some truths to the story. You should check out "The Jesus Family Tomb"

No, it gets about another thing. Naturally some sexual perverts and sinners have another meaning to undermine Christian religion.
You see, there were centuries and especially in Arabian countries or in this Jewish country, where women took place in social hierarchy between a camel and goat. Remember 9 commandment: don't desire wife of your neighbour and 10 commandment: and no thing, which belongs to him: it means camel, goat, tent etc. And they take the same place till now in Arabian countries just like Saudi Arabia and many another Sunni states and jewish state called israel
And it was such time in which men kissed each other in mouth: it was sign of brotherhood.
And if Jesus Christ ( who is God and creator of all living beings and inanimate matter ), who has showed way of life
to the whole human kind and people of all religions and atheists too should read New Testament - Catholic or Orthodox issue) has kissed Mary in mouth, it means that HE HAS RESPECTED HER JUST LIKE HE HAS RESPECTED MEN, THAT HE AKNOWLEDGED HER AS HUMAN BEING, WHO IS EQUAL TO MAN AND NOT A BEING BETWEEN GOAT, CAMEL AND TENT JUST LIKE JEWISH AND ARABIAN MEN HAVE TREATED WOMEN.AD IT MEANS THAT ALL PEOPLE ARE EQUAL FOR GOD: WOMEN AND MEN AND CHILDREN.

reincarnation is theory of Masdaism ( religion of ancient Afghan/Persian with their prophet Zaratusthra, but I don't know if it belongs to early forms of this religion or rather later forms), it is rather optimistic theory, It says that when it will come end of the time, you understand end of time does not mean end of our species, it does not mean end of life on Earth, it does not mean end of our Solar System, it means total end of Universes, when time will stop to exist. And this theory says that even bad, evil beings just like people, who will go to hell, just like even satan and bad angels will be reincarnated, it means restored, reborn and changed to be good and come back to God to connect with Him. It is only theory, not dogma. But you understand that if it is even true theory, this time in hell can take very long time maybe trillions of years or maybe much more longer.

It does not mean that Jesus Christ had a wife and children. Jesus Christ is God and all people: Children, Women, Men just like another living being were created by God and are His children. This kiss had another meaning, it means it was sign of brotherhood and sign of equality and the same importance of people, It means that all people: children, women, men have the same importance for God and they are equal for God. All people should try to make their best to be worthy to be child of God just by following Jesus in their lives and BE OBEYED TO God's commandments ( these 10 commandments )

Jesus maybe had a few broads on the side. Who really knows? Think about it. How many guys of age 33 have never had at least one sexual experience? I'm sure he banged a few broads and masturbated during his lifetime. All men do. Every man on the planet has jacked off if they have a working hand and a working 3rd leg. He was a human being after all.

You know the one thing I never understood was how Mary Magdalen was portrayed as a prostitute I feel that she had a larger role in the bible but almost everyone writes her off as a prostitute which was never confirmed she was the first person Jesus came to when he was resurected which shows she was important!!! They have found some gospels written by her but alot of it is protected by the Vatican and some biblical artifacts have been destroyed by other religions alot of this stuff is confusing !!!thanks and God bless
