As the mother of one of the girls listed below, I also don't appreciate the fact that when my daughter's name is googled with the word McKinney, this pops up. She, and most of the girls listed below, had nothing to do with any of this. Yes, they all knew Karissa, but they were not necessarily friends, or best friends. The names below are just random names of girls from that high school. I appreciate the comment from the girl that is going to apply to medical school. She is correct in stating that she had nothing to do with this (she isn't my daugher). How do all of these people from the northern states think they know this? This whole thing was blown out of perportion by a phychotic teacher who got fired and needed money. If you read this Michale Ward, thanks for causing my innocent daughter's name to be listed on the internet. If I ever see you around McKinney, I'll tell you to your face!

for all you people who are saying that this kind of thing happens everywhere: why are you okay with that? i do agree that maybe these girls should not be the target but at the same time people need to know about it.

sure plenty of people drink underage, but if the movie reflects any of the things these girls did then it's surprising they weren't put in jail.

and again, if these girls were really such bullies, then i call it karma.

I'm not as surprised at how the girls were portrayed, and if they behaved like that or if they didn't (I know only too well how nasty girls can be, having gone to school with girls a lot like these were), the worst part is how the adults behaved. I don't think anyone really cares so much about the immature girls little scandals as much (if you're actually an adult) as the truly disgusting attitudes and actions of the parents and the school personnel involved that enabled them to lord it over other people, themselves included, and it just makes me wonder why Lifetime makes so many movies about the appalling behaviour of the (hopefully few) people in Texas...how many cheerleading movies about Texas does this make? And don't forget the Texas Cadet Murder, and on and on....those few nutcases make the entire state look bad, as it seems to occur so frequently. To everyone who is obviously not one these nutcases, I'm just sorry you have to contend with all the individuals who have no regard whatsoever about other people, and to the girls themselves....well, all I can say is I hope you grow up in the real world and you never reproduce monsters like yourselves.

what an awful thing: to be judged by people you don't know about something you did years ago. is what they did wrong? yeah; is it your place to judge? no. it was high school. let it go...

the actual "fab five" was...
shanika dancy
karrissa theret
brittany ricketts
danielle bilelo
brittany rader
pretty sure liz griffin was apart of it also..
coming from that school i know most of the truth to the story:
-3 cheerleading coaches in 4 highschool years (the movie and news story says something like 4 in a year?) one had a baby after her second year coaching, the next got a better job at the new highschool, and then there was mrs. ward.
-most of those girls are pretty little girls.. seriously beating people up? i dont think any of them have ever laid a hand on someone
-drinking..yes
-skipping school..yes
-never heard of them doing any sort of drug in highschool
-never knew they even had the name "fab five" until the news started it (and i dont think they did either)
anyways a movies a movie.. watch it for entertainment not for truth. your only seeing one side of the story because i dont think they have ever told their story you've only heard the coaches.

how do I find out the girls names and what they are up to today? and did you ever see the video that went on the internet?
There was no video. It was one photo and it was posted on myspace. While it was certainly a little lewd, it was nothing like what this movie depicted it to be.

I am appalled that people can just attatch innocent girls names to this incident by just glancing at friends on other peoples my space pages, and then having the audacity to call it research. Most ot the girls names that are listed were not cheerleaders or in some cases did not attend Mckinney North High school. Some of these girls will be effected negatively when applying for schools, jobs etc. This is the first item that appears when the names are googled.

okay!!! first off to ther person who said Texas people are nothing but trouble or whatever..not all of us r like these girls i dont think it should have been so blown out of perportion but i do think they should of got disaplined there behavior was out of control talking back and disrespecting teachers and other students that is just uncalled for.. and i blame the principal, parents and other administrators for the girls behavior they let them get away with it for far to long and to the mother of one of the girls who wrote something if your daughter wasnt involved then dont worry about what is said just blow it off and it wasnt the ms wards fault she just stood up for what she thought was right u shouldnt blame her for anything and i do agree that these girls were some spoilded rich brats that got everything handed to them on a silver platter and didnt get brought up right in order to treat people the way that they did so the parents should be ashamed of themselves as well

You're an idiot. Whether or not your daughter is innocent as you proclaim, it doesn't change the fact about what happened. Children get bullied and made fun of all the time because of the way they look, dress or what they're into and eventually people take it so far that, that person decides to end their life because they can no longer take the shit they're put through everyday. Michaela Ward tried to make a difference, she tried to make the school better. If she was so psychotic as you claim than the principle wouldn't have been let go on leave nor would she have pulled her child out of the school. Obviously there was something going on there, you're just another one of those parents who are in denial. That story had to be told, children had to know about it. Life doesn't come that easy, they were on a power trip and at the end of the day, they lost. Hopefully this experienced change them for the better and they realized how much of a bitch they were. They needed a reality check.
