Well, if Andreessen did indeed make that statement it does appear damning. Further, it can be demonstrated that eBay Inc. is, beyond any doubt, a knowing and calculated facilitator of widespread auction fraud on the consumers of the world, and it would surely be naïve of anyone to think that eBay’s directors could be so uninformed that they were unaware of this oft reported and endemic criminal activity … http://bit.ly/11F2eas

It follows therefore that if anyone thinks that such directors would not take such an opportunity to further enrich themselves, then they have probably spent far too much time in Wonderland—along with Alice, and eBay’s Johnny Ho.

Directors may well recuse themselves from the decision making process in such situations of potential conflict of interest but, don’t kid yourself, such deals, and the dividing up of the spoils therefrom, will have been pre-determined in the executive washroom, well in advance of any formal board meeting …
