This is the same old story I have heard for the last year. the pointes project is going fine. But to date they only have a hole in the ground and nothing is moving, how stupid do they think we are?
I work for UBC as a flooring sales person, and things in petoskey are very very bad. I tell people in the business that things are good just becasue I want to save face.
But the building business and real estate sales are bad as I have ever seen and I am sure presales are nonexistant for the pointes project.
I am not selling carpet at levels that I would like and things are going out of business all over petoskey.
In the mean time the points project supported by the willing accomplice of the Ptown news review keep saying the kings new clothes are wonderful.
Bull crap, the money is gone and this is evident by no structur going up.

Well what is going on up there with all these things. There is talk of another development in Charlevoix w/condo's and marina, and the old Tallburg Chevy site was supposed to have a development.

I can't believe all this is happening with the Granholm economic situation.

Are any of these actually going to happen?

I see the Petoskey pointe project is still stalled. I guess the state is about to be flushed.

I work at first american title and can tell you this project is DOA. No one is telling you that the presales do not exist, the financing is gone.
We lost 2 city blocks for these block heads.
What was the city thinking getting into bed with these hoods?

Is this DOA official or speculation?
