I'm so sick of this football already . So many things need to change. First the time limit on practice . first it was 2 hours before school started now 2 1/2 and schools in . This is so crazy . Homework comes first not football . Coaches please take a hint . Parents are getting pissed at the time you guys are staying for practice. I have a one on one concern of one of the midget coaches . He thinks he can run the field like militery . Take a hint this isn't th marines.

Maybe your kid should have stayed with soccer, run around on the field for a little while and get a trophy. They have 2 hours before practice to do homework, always made my son do homework before practice. The coaches are great, if you have a problem with them go tell them after practice, not on this forum

my boys playing midgets and i have no problem with the coaches or their coaching styles except one but ill leave that alone cause its not that big of a deal but i do agree with the time part alot of times the practice dont start til after 6 and has been running late my boy does schoolwork before practice but it would be nice to get out of there at 8 so we can get home and let him eat and clean up and have more than 5 min to sit down and relax before bed we make it work either way but if they wanna run the practice longer let the coaches that are there at 6 start the boys doing there excersises and calastenics (sorry about the spelling i got no clue) so that when the other coaches that are not there til after 6 get there the boys are ready and we can get out at 8 or lets start at 530 so its not later than 8 mine will be there and well deal with it either way but it would be nice to get out at 8 is all im saying coaches yall are doing good with the boys keep it up lets just try to stick to the schedule

This is the problem with this town, People like this who get on Topix to nag. If you have something to say, go to the coach and talk to him face to face like an ADULT. Or better yet dont let your son play football, Because you cant act like a grown adult. The team wont miss your negitive attitude.

the league they play in, if my memory serves me correct, has a maximum time of 2 hour practice.

Ok Ms. know it all . My son has never played soccer . They do not have two hours before practice . Some kids barely get home after 4.30 or so. Parents wrk these days and can't always have supper waiting . Home works way more important to have done and at a good job. You might not make your son take pride in his work but mine does. Just like your on here running your mouth and voicing your opinion , we can too . From now on , 8 oclocks is the limit. Parents have rules and kids have rules and coaches have rules . Thankyou Ms. or Mr. know it all!!!!!

you don't have to let your child play, thats your choice, if you do not like the time they practice, have him quit and then explain to your little baby why!!!!!Practice has been like this for years and you WILL NOT change that.grow up and quit your bitching. pure and simple.......

Ok Smartass . Number one . We all have Rules . Right? Well we are told to have our kids there at 6 o'clock . But most all of us are there by 5:30. hn we were told practice is from 6-8 . Fine then , I have no problem with that. but when it goes on for 8:30 to 15 min till 9 . that's getting into homework time ,bedtime and bath time. Don't know about you we have rules at my house . Homewrok first to be done , eat supper with family , et yoiur bathes and clothes for school and then bed time . So they are eady for school . They tell the kids to make sure they get hm work done and do good in school . Well how the hell you expect them to if they don't have time fo homework or sleep .? Do you even have a kid ?

Like I said, you don't have to let play, do you bathe your kids since you treat them like little babies, I bet you do, and as a matter of fact, I have 2 sons, who have played in the league years ago and have friends whose kids still play.If you don't like it, tell the coaches instead of getting on here running your mouth, you I can tell are a troblemaker and your son is most likely getting his 5 plays and thats it. So shut the hell up and let the kids play.......

Honey might as well get used to it bc that's the way it will be all the way thru high school. It's the peterstown mentality. Gotta groom their kids to be the superstars from day one. The heck with school work, the heck with life outside of sports and being taught to be a good all around person and team player. It's like OCU. and why not get on here and post how you feel? I can only imagine what would be the consequence of going to the coach with your concerns... Hmmm maybe being labeled??? Most definitely!! Also better be prepared to fork out big bucks for every camp coming and going and even think about hiring a private coach. And maybe even to go as far as getting your coaches license and coach your child, and your grandchildren. It's not about team ball anymore, it's about individuals being SUPERSTARS!! And I know one thing for a fact- the parents that are pissed off bc you were on here voicing your concerns are not the parents of a child sitting on the bench. Better buckle up bc it's gonna be a long frustrating ride!! But have faith that in the end your child will be the better person than those that are constantly being "groomed"! Good luck!!

Thankyou . finally someone else not afraid to step up and say somthing to the ones that run the field . You know the one's with the certain "LAST NAMES" . They think that's gonna get them and thir kids through this world. LOL That last name means nothing to anyone outside Peterstown , I am preparing my kid to Be something and go to college outside of Peterstown . I've seen this all my life here. People think their shit don't stink because of their Bif Last Name. So what !!!! No i don't bathe my kids either. He's a big boy nd He probably has more Balls than th one's fighting back at me.lol Your pobably a coach . One of the Big Names.!!!

first of all, if you knew anythng you would know where you are practicing is not and I repeat is not school property. so I believe you need to get some balls about you and tell the coach how you feel instead of telling topix, thats your problem...

Ya mighty bad behind your key board...if you have a problem be a man and go.. face to face. your one of the parents who probably sat on their butt while the other parents a re lining the field or whatever else need done. dipping the snuff is no different than the haze if smoke you drive through at the gate with all the cigarette smoke ...so grow some and tell Mr Rmiddle how ya feel
