I doubt they'll be bringing in wolves any time soon. If they do, you can kiss the coyotes good-bye (no big deal there) Wovlves drive out Coyotes from an area but the wolf is a far more dangerous animal than the Coyote. They would make short order of the deer but then what would they go after when the deer population was depleted? Try dogs, cats, livestock & anything else that comes there way when they're hunting & hungry. States out west are bringing back hunting them. Must be a reason for that.

I looked it up on the internet. Look up reinstated wolves in west virginia. They have turned out the red, grey and mexican wolf on us. I saw a red wolf below my house last summer. He was a big guy. My neighbor killed a 150 lb grey wolf about 10 years ago, it was stocking his calves. He took it to the vet and they told him it was 90% wolf. I have noticed the deer are thining out. As far as the wolves running out the coyote it won't happen they will cross breed. I just want people to realize whats happening around here and to be on the look out!

Next time I'm in town I'll try to look up one of the DNR people and check it out. I can promise you one thing though, wolves & coyotes will never mate. Wolves in every case will kill a coyote. You will never see the two groups in the same area, ever. Like I said, I'll check it out with a DNR person & get back to you on it. If it's true, you'll have my apology!

They are here together, both wolves and coyotes! You see coyotes and dogs that have cross bred, and you see the wolves and dogs cross/hybreds so why wouldn't the coyotes and wolves cross breed? I sure hope we can find out some more info on this.

Where are you located at in Monroe? Union? Seems like I remember that 150lb wolf being killed some years back.

Gotta love ignorance. Wolves are not dangerous unless injured. Do some real research on these creatures, serious research. I was one of the ignorant at one point, then I took the time to educate myself. You will find out wolves are not the "evil creatures" we have been led to believe that they are. It's sad really.

Do the research or are you incapable of doing it? As your comment might suggest?

It's been said they are bringing in wolves to thin out the coyotes and the deer because WV is over run with both .... I hope so because I can't wait to get my hands on a wolf pup ..... If anyone out there can trap me one let me know I will check back to see and then I tell u where we can meet

I can see u people need an education. Its a real problem out west. Because the wolf population has gotten so big. They are now having to make a hunting season for them. When there are no more deer, just what do u think they will eat. They we're wiped out before for a damned good reason. I know all about this because I am from out west. I'm sure the people who think they arr not dangerous live over concrete. Lets turn some loose in your hood!

The only way a wolf and a coyotes would cross breed would be that their is no other mate around, probably because someone shot them, and the deer are not gone. they change their pattern to avoid wolves. the are probably in the deep forest, out of the open. just because you can't sit in a tree and wait for a deer to waltz by dose not mean they are not around. it just means they are not throwing themselves in front of cars and killing people. oh, and one more thing, if you want a wolf pup, go to a breeder, don't steal a mother's pup. bother her and her mate will fuck the trapper up.

I own a farm I'd much rather see wolves running around on my property than these fat, drunken slobs in orange hats that think the words "No Trespassing" and "No Hunting" somehow don't apply to them.
