Men Arrested in Copper Wiring Theft

Two men were arrested for removing copper wiring from a secured area of property belonging to Dominion Virginia Power Sept.

i lived in hopewell and had to move as someone or someones kept coming under my house and i would hear drilling etc, and i belive they were stealing the copper pipes and i have a good idea who they were. was under there numerous times and the installation was all torn up and on the ground and water all over. was a mess and concrete near the vents were hacked away. i went to he police like 13 times and they came out and did nothing. wouldnt even go under the house to check it out. after this i moved to another state. hopewell sucks.the person that i believe was involved in this lived on my street. i dont know how anyone could live in hopeell. but i thank the kid and his friends. did me a favor as i love where i am now . thought you hurt me well you didn't, and the stalking needs to stop.you are a lost wannabe.

Wow, you act like Hopewell is the only place where crime happens. You need to look around. Crime can only be stopped by everyone being proactive. Neighborhood watch helps, so does having a dog, cameras, guns, etc. Also, live in a decent area, not one with druggies and punks roaming the streets. Make friends with neighbors, look out for them, and they will look out for you.

i lived in a pretty good neighborhood,and yet this happened. the police there really dont care. neighbors here do look out for each other,but early morning they are sleeping.from what i saw the punks and druggies are all over hopewell.

Most of the cops care, but they can't be everywhere. The people in the neighborhoods need to help out too. The real problem is when the cops arrest them and go to court, the damn judges slap the scum on the wrist and turn them loose. The crooked lawyers and judges need to go.

i agree, as this kid has a log police record and not even his folks cant control him . and the looks of it his family is not good also. i had cameras put up and somehow they avaded them. i would watch on the inside tv and didn't see nothing on the cameras and here they are stealing. weeird.
