My Opinion TennCare would work well if it was offered to all Tennessee Residents. Are at the very least require all Government Federal, State, County, and City employees who work for the Federal, State, County, and City Government and have no other insurance option available to them as to their personal pay own private insurance be required to have TennCare, Higher Education System and all. For it takes the well to make the profit for the sick and it takes the State and government to support its own systems as to helping the Taxpayers pay for the funding of it. It takes the well people to make up the difference for the expense of the sick. Tenn. Care got off to a bad start when it allowed the insurance companies too dump off their liabilities on the TennCare System and not allowing the well who had insurance to drop their insurance and take TennCare Those very things put TennCare in the hole to start with TennCare needs to be offered to all Tennesseans free or at the very least based on income TennCare needs too be the only insurance offered to State , City, County employee that can be taxpayer funded as to support the TennCare and taxpayer system.

Just think, all State, County and city governments and departments would not have to worry about or even bid for their employees health care insurance if they all had and used TennCare Their insurance would all be the same even the Law makers and the Tennessee Governor and Tennessee Legislators, all the way down too the schools bus drivers all the same Medical Insurance program. Equal Justice for all. Free TennCare for all. If TennCare is good enough for the poor then it should be good enough medical Insurance for All State, County, andcity employees In that way it would same money as to cost and increase revenue as to income for the Program.

It is a welfare health insurance system for the ones who do not work or who work were health insurance is not offered. You should have know that before you ever asked.

I am not asking Just sugesting that TennCare could be more apt to support itsself if it was used by the State Citys and county Goverments themselves as their total Health Care provider. TennCare was a Great Idea yet it lacked the support it needed as to the support it could have by using the system as a whole too support itself. For no one state can take all the expence of it's poors Health Care Needs and place the load on it's Taxpayers without Supporting their own Programs. If the State would change, support and improve the TennCare Program it would work real well. The TennCare program could use the support of all the State, County, and City revenue and the State, County, and City workers could use Tenncares Insurance Program as their Health insurance provider by slight improments in all directions the system could be immproved to support themselves. Are do you still want the lobbists and Big insurance companies costing the taxpayers all they can by dumping the sisk on the taxpayers and taking the profit and money of the well.

TennCare would have bankrupt the state if it had been continued. Of course, that doesn't matter to to the lazy anyway. And, the ones too ignorant to plan for their futures are too ignorant to understand.

Tenn Care is ran by the lobbists and big insurance compaines, you are asking to change noting just be more on the tax payes. The rules for tenn care would not allow government workers to be on it unless they give up all they have worked for and they would have to do this and go on welfare and food stamps. If that was to happy then you would have about 50% less people in the state paying taxes.Sound like a socialist idea to me. I am one that is not lazy so it would not work for me and the other people that I work with.

If TennCare is Good Enought for the poor then TennCare should be good Enought for all.
TennCare should be used and supported by all State County, and City Employees as their Main Health Care Provider in that way the system will support itself.
The TennCare program needs the extra funds and the State, County, City Employees need the Health Insurance it's a win, win deal for the taxpayers and the State.

If the State, Countys, and cities governemnts applied their insurance costs to the TennCare program it would boast the stiablity of TennCare and allow TennCare to provide the total Health insurance coverage for all State County and City employees also there by increasing State jobs and decrease unemployment.
Yet give the State County and City Control over the cost of their own Health Care there by helping too preventing fraud and cost rip off.
It would or could take the middle men out of the system and allow for direct cost savings.

YEARS ago when it began, it was not just the Medicaid program that it is today. We were self employed and eligiable for insurance through them. We paid monthly premiums, copays at the dr. and at the pharmacy like all other insurance does. Just in the last few years(10-15) that has changed. NOW it is a Medicaid/welfare program. I had high hopes for a state insurance available to all.

Because Lack of funding in TennCare and the High Costs of funding in State, County, City, workers, Politicians, State Law Makers, and retires Health Care Plans are so different varied across the State, the most logical answer I can think of would be To use what is the best controlled Health Care Plan as too the needs of all at the lowest possible costs to the Taxpayers.
To Improve and use The TennCare Program would be of a benefit too all. I don't want any State, City or County, retired worker to lose a thing as to the Health Insurance coverage or benefits they now have, fact is I want to equalize the benefits for all. A Law makers or politician Health Care Insurance should be no better, no worse than the other workers or the poor when in the same Health Care Program.
I am only suggesting that by improving and using The TennCare Program the State's own Health Care Program, all ready set up it is a win, win for all. With the use of the TennCare Program in place the rules can be change very easily to include all State, City, County, workers, retirees, Law Makers, and the poor. The Program can be improved to provide better coverage and equalize the coverage so that all have the same if not better coverage and the cost over all can be brought down. You seem too be afraid you going too lose something I suppose, I don't see how I can make my explanation no better than this. If the plan I purpose is implemented as too this proposal how can anyone lose but the Insurance Companies who are selling the State, County, and City all the high cost Insurance and cutting your benefits all the time.
Even the Insurance companies will get lower Taxes out of the proposal as to the property taxes they pay because with the savings I can see reduced property taxes one day.
This should stop a lot of the under table wheeling and dealing we all hear about. Is would allow control of sky rocking costs, improve the Poor’s benefits, decease the Taxpayers Cost.
I would dare say it would improve your benfits and lower your costs to zero for Health Care.

so there would be no incentive for anyone to work in the future.
workers could quit their jobs, stop having taxes deducted from their wages, live with a friend or relative and still have all the benefits, plus be able to collect a welfare check.
how about this - your idea for TennCare insurance is only available to people who have a full time 8-hr per day job (any job - even mcdonalds) and business owners will be held accountable for reporting work hours as proof.

You knew the benefits when you chose to go for the big bucks of your own business. Obviously it has not been as successful as you had hoped. Wonder why? Now, you want those that chose to work for lower paying jobs to "take care of you" by giving up their benefits. Such a freeloader. You are one bitter old man that lacks an education. Did you get through middle school?

TennCare was a program that almost bankrupted the state of Tennessee. It got to be out of control spending. Many of the participants used the system to get drugs and then resell them, for recreational use, as their source of income. This is what will happen to the nation if Obama gets his way.

Tenncare went broke because the state was giving it to tons of illegals. They state could not even manga it correctly so the federal gov had to step in.I do believe that they need to investigate people's job and yhings more before they give tenncare. When I worked in healthcare there were many people wo had full time jobs at places I know offered insurance and they still had tenncare.I am all for it when someone has no other acess to health insurance but if they are working full time they should be made to take the insurance through thier job

TennCare is welfare - and if I was unemployed - it would be helpful for me to use it UNTIL I GOT BACK IN THE WORKFORCE. correct? So - if someone is working they should not qualify for TennCare. I worked in the health care field in Florida - and we saw the same thing here. women on Fla Medicaid - getting free health care (paid by tax payers) while her live in boyfriend and father of her 4 kids had a $50.00 per hour job as an electrician or other type.
