So you got a trigger happy cop, whose waving the gun at everybody, he's just homocided a kid for no apparent reason, and yet, here we are, 2014, and we allow those in power to absolutely get away with murder. He killed that girl. Aren't police supposed to protect and serve us? Or beat us, jail us, and murder us down like pigs to the slaughterhouse? Justice is like sausage. It's good and fine and it works, just don' watch it being made. The jury trial will determine this cops fate, make no bones about it.

Arent licensed operators of vehicles supposed to obey the laws ? Oh, I forgot, she didn't have a license because she was already under suspension for Drunk Driving. Does that make it ok for her to get shot ? Of course NOT ! If you want to throw your concern about following the laws out, be prepared to hear that they apply across the board !

This Officer probably was trying to serve and protect when he attempted to stop her from driving until he could make an assessment of her condition. Perhaps he recognized her as someone who was driving under suspension for drunk driving and with the knowledge he had about the drinking at that location, WAS trying to serve and protect. You asked the question, I am giving you a possible answer; Action leads to Reaction.

Is it possible that due to her failure to obey the law and drive away, she prevented the officer from serving and protecting ?

If she had continued on down the road, knowing other officers might catch her for bresaking the law again, she might have caused the death or injuries to others, including her friends in her car. It was obvious from the beginning of this, she was NOT going to stop and obey the law, in fact she was breaking the law before he attempted to stop her. Many law offenders who run from the police end up in crashes and or kill other innocent people. Was history about to repeat itself, this time in Boone County ?

You mention the laws ? Yes, they are to be followed. Most unfortunately had she followed the law, NONE of this could have happened, she would not have even been driving.

It is very sad it ended as it did. I for one am glad there were no other people injured or killed !

The better question is, why did she NOT obey the Law ? Every action has a reaction, this one had a horrible result. I am sure you wouldnt be Boo Hooing if it were the Officer who was run over by her, would you ?

The officer also did not obey the law. It is illegal for a cop to jump on someone's car and unload directly at their face. This is not acceptable when concerning a misdemeanor. I'm sure that since you're all for law and order you're looking forward to him being found guilty of the murder he committed and paying the full price aren't you? No? It's plain to see that you're not one of the minority of decent cops that respect the law and the rights of those who pay your salary. You and others of your ilk are the reason that decent persons who work and pay taxes are getting tired of local yokels behaving like they are some type of militant army in a third world banana republic.
Also, BCSO released the in car video a day or so after the murder occurred which was plenty of time to edit the video. They also asked the KSP to help in the investigation... days after it happened because everyone knows that the KSP rarely becomes involved once a local department has destroyed evidence and otherwise altered the crime scene.

Morality and Legality are 2 different things. All Ghandi and MLK did was illegal. All Hitler did was legal.

The only reason for The Law is to protect life, liberty, and limb. To protect and serve us, the people. We are their bosses, not the other way around. Even if Samantha was loaded, she did not hurt anybody. We cannot predict the future, and we also cannot arrest somebody for what they might do. This murderer here took a citizen's life, who posed no danger or threat to anybody. She was murdered because she did not comply. She was not obedient. When men can't protect their women and daughters, they should stop calling themselves men. Cops make situations worse, not better. I'd feel safer with none.

If the cops did not show up, the kids would have partied some more, in an open field, in the middle of the country, middle of nowhere... who were they hurting? Peaceful assembly on private property... what's that got to do with cops? Who were they hurting?

If murdering Boone County Police never showed up, they would have and danced some more, went home, and that's it. But throw a stupid murderer in the mix, whose out of control, psychotic, and now there's dead children everywhere.

Did you see how he pointed the gun at everybody afterwards? I guess to make sure they keep their mouths shut.

Wow. That's some traumatic bs you had to go thru. Make sure you talk to somebody about it. That's PTSD, automatically. Boone Co should pay for everybody's mental health after this... firing him immediately would be cathartic and a good first step for this Sheriff, if he wants to keep his job. He's got opposition in the primary? He should. If not, sign up for independent, and run as independent. You got until 1 month before Nov 4 to do that.

It was sick and barbaric watching the dash cam... cops are here to protect and serve, and this case is particularly appalling because a 19 year old young woman was murdered. Titanic we see that we save our women and children first. But these cops do not protect and serve us, we the people. He was jerk looking for trouble, just like they always do.

Plus, 19 years old... you can't drink alcohol at 19? Who cares? It's incredible we live in a country that will send her boys and girls off to die in wars of imperial conquest at 18, yet won't let them have a beer when they return... even though they've been popping Afghan heroin or weed in Vietnam the whole time they were murdering foreign peoples who never posed a threat to us...

18 is adult. 18 should be allowed to drink, and run for public office, but for some reason, Kentucky doesn't allow either, and they are mutually exclusive, and a catch 22, because whose gonna give 18 year olds their rights? The curmudgeon politicians? Come on now. Be serious

Typical childlike response... You are simply clueless beyond your age... This generation of young adults want it all their way and have no respect for rules or laws. I am not sure if its their parents who failed them, or they who failed their parents.

If you continue to think as you do about life, I wouldn't expect anyone to accept your behavior as the " norm ", except those within your generation. Someone said they paid my salary.. Again how childish a comment.. You didn't pay mine, I am retired and not from Kentucky anyway. But if you feel you pay , I am sure the officers in Boone County would be happy to give you back the 25 cents they received from you, if that much... Do the Math, if your capable.

Go back to your party with your friends and thank your lucky stars you were not in harms way. I am not sure you are smart enough to know how stay out of it.. Kinda reminds me of the young adults who behave like out of control mobs because the basketball team won a game. Its ok because we you were just having fun ? I love that when its actually said to a judge in a courtroom, as if the judge will finds that acceptable.... GROW Up Kiddies,,, when you turn 18, life changes for you.

Again, I am not supporting the shooting , I don't know all of the facts, NOR do you . I refuse to accept hearsay from kids who have been drinking . The lawyers and judges will sort through it all, you can bet on that. Just don't get your hopes too high for an outcome you will like, it may not happen. The law is interpreted in many ways and by judges differently. Nothing is worth betting on when dealing with any judge. But, if you elect a young judge who thinks as irresponsible as you, you have a " shoe in " for the dog and pony show presented in court.

Kids, don't let your friends drink and drive ! If only the Judge had made a better impression on this young lady, she wouldn't have made the choice to ignore his order. Perhaps if she had better friends, they would have kept her from driving that night ? Didn't her friends care enough about her to see that she didn't do something she shouldn't do? Or was it just not that important to her friends, having fun was more ? Learn from this little people, this world isn't going to change just so you can feel good and have fun !

Who do u think ur preach'n to, old man? Keep on watching Fox News, with your brainwashing... all cops are good, to u... eh? Except when they mess with Cliven Bundy... heck, we should have called Cliven Bundy and his militia up, and pitted ourselves up against the bloody thirsty trigger happy homociding cops. Grow up? Parents and law? You do not respect the law. You side with cops blindly because look at how passionate you are... if there were good cops, they would protest the bad ones, but they never do that... cops are worse than bloods and crips

Nobody said they wanted to be cannon fodder for the imperialist American Empire when they are boys. Poverty makes folks go into the service.

Let's be honest.. you're a fascist douche bag. You trust those with power, but not those with freedom. You think everybody should obey all of your orders, and if they do not, then they should be murdered down like a dog, like a pig to the slaughter, even if it's a young woman. You are an equal opportunity oppressor. You think all are below you and that cops can do no wrong... you are so wrong-headed and living in some warped dream... bizarre world... you think cops are all good and can do no wrong, but probably hate the politicians, when the politicians are their bosses... you're a hypocrite. Cops are pure evil. They are Nazi storm troopers defending State power, not people power. You side with white man murdering poor woman because that's who you are. You cannot empathize with a female. You cannot empathize with anybody. Your ability to empathize with anybody is shot, except murdering psychopathic fascists... those people you understand completely.

OK, have it your way, I will be honest also. Your a snot nosed punk who didn't get his ass spanked enough as a kid. Your no more than a skidmark on the shorts of humanity in my opinion.... Shall I continue, do you feel better now ? I enjoy being a sounding board for you, most kids these days need that. I want to be here for you... Such a shame this young lady didn't have good enough friends to be there for her when she really needed them. Do you think her friends in the car cared enough or do you think they only cared enough about themselves because someone had a warrant out for their arrest and told her to drive off ?

You want to throw it out there ? What is it you did to help keep her from driving that night ? Feeling guilty or is it you cant handle your beer either ? Well, as the saying goes, you cant fix stupid and your life is destined to be nothing better it appears by the way you think.

I am happy with this response, yes I am. I am glad you brought up child abuse. I think you are afraid of something and I do not know what it is. What are u so afraid of? Your children being free from your control? Did you beat your children? Did you get spanked? Is this why you have so much rage for young women who did not hurt anybody, or break any laws, at least none the cop could have been able to tell?

The enemy is not hate. It is fear. You are speaking out thinking you are helping, but you are not... you are defending murder... it also shows me that there's mass acceptance of police brutality, as if that's standard operating procedure is acceptable. That's assault. How many times did you assault your children?

As for me, I was beat up, constantly, every day. I guess 5,000 beatings wasn't enough. That lil tiny spirit left in me was smart enough to survive the fascist psychopaths who only care about oppressing and molesting... oppressor's love is a love of death. They must smash you into submission, in order to love you... to love you, they must turn you into a cog of their own machine... a tool... an object, not a human being. Freedom is human. And good cops would defend freedom and the Bill of Right.

No, the problem is not that children aren't getting beat up enough. The problem is that folks love to put violence on innocent folks, and they do it over and over again, it becomes routine and normalized. As the headmaster, the cult of the father reflects the dictatorship of the state. Daddy can use violence, just like Frankfort, and Burlington can. Your sadistic ways should catch up to you soon enough, I hope.

I really liked the last line:

"As the headmaster, the cult of the father reflects the dictatorship of the state. Daddy can use violence to molest and oppress just as Frankfort and Burlington can."

The oppressors mental illness destroys himself and those he oppresses. He dehumanizes them, and they love him for it. But if another oppressed slave stands up, the other slaves are always first to attack... horizontal violence. Poor destroys the poor, when solidarity guarantees our survival.

Your ignorance continues as you post. I have said numerous times on here, I do NOT support the shooter; I support a process to investigate and collect all of the facts, NOT ust a few warm and fuzzy ones like you.

Novels,,,,,,, again, every action has a reaction,,,, figured it out yet ? Perhaps some ADHD meds would help you ?

You speak of cowardice; kinda makes me think a lot of how you are and or those who are threatening or making threats on here about the officers family....

ONLY a COWARD would hide behind a computer screen and speak of such garbage about someones family. Yeah, you know all about what a coward is !
