"A year later, Creation Museum claiming big crowds"... of course, everyone loves fantasy and make believe. Disneyland is always packed.

I believe in god, however I do not literally believe many of the stories.
Imagine a God revealing itself to a group of bronze-age nomads. Ok...trying to tell them I "created the earth, and you in about 6.5 Billion Years".

Well, GOd was talking to a people who had not yet understood "0", and were keeping track of stock and seasons by notches in bones and wood.

SO, wouldn't it be just as incredible, and a little more understandable if it said...well...it was 7 days..yea,, that's the ticket!

Just as incredible as 6.5 Billion Years, but in a language understood by the intellect.

Personally, I'm a hopefull agnostic. But I understand those that require literal translation (even though we may all fry because of it). And I understand those not bound by the particulars of language. And I understand the scientists, and the athiests.

Why can't you understand each other?

The thing to do is cover up death. Guys in robes are good to pull it off, sometimes women, yea, but always BS power scams.

Twin Lakes Church will put you in tight.

The answer to the continents being joined at one time, from the Creationist viewpoint, is that the Flood caused these land masses to separate, if I'm not mistaken. I'm not sure about the rocky planet thing except that that is the way God placed them.
You might want to research that idea a bit. To put it simply, a ton of energy (heat) would be created to move those land masses that far apart. So much, in fact, it would vaporize the atmosphere killing everyone on the ark.

I had a class in college entitled "Comparative Economic Systems". This was an objectively oriented class that taught all of us ignorant kids how the world worked.
I still remember this class.
What would be wrong with presenting in a classroom setting the same approach to the THEORY of How we got here. After all everything that is passed off as actual is also just a theory. We can do wonders so far as carbon dating stuff and analyzing old bones, but all the rest of it is just a theory.
Kids deserve to be informed of everything that is out there.
If someone is afraid to give them all that is out there, I wonder what they are afraid of ??????
Hey, you know what else is "just a theory"? Gravity.
