Both Peterborough NH and New Ipswich NH police get dispatched by the same person (county dispatch on Pack Monadnock) so New Ipswich should have been on the alert that there was a chase going on. I would suspect they both listen to Ashby dispatch and if it was all in the clear they knew the subject of the chase came back into NH near New Ipswich. But this story is being told from the Mass. perspective with no info from NH.

Maybe the NH SP caught the guy. Many cows and goats were at risk of bodily harm.

I agree with the guy who wrote, "why do I read these things???"

Can you say New Ipswich did NOT have a town Officer on that night! They were probably being covered by State Police! Good luck with that Ashby!

Dear omgplease ...
"they had to break off the pursuit Monday about 12:35 p.m., Chief Paul H. Lundin said. "
For those who can tell time, this would be shortly after noon time, not at night as you appear to imagine.
And after one whole month of no night shift, Ashby is doing just fine.
