What's the status on Patton Drive?

Patton Drive used to be a nice quite street to live on, until it became party time for a bunch of juvenile delinquents. I’ve lived on the street for more than 20-years. It’s a shame to see the parents of these teenagers allowing such behavior, and disregard for their neighbors peace & quite after 10pm. The street becomes congested with the amount of teenagers parking their cars to attend the drink fests condoned by the parents allowing & supplying alcoholic beverages to minors. The two (2) homes one occupied by a son the other a daughter across the street from the lake front man cave (garage) are out of control. The reckless behavior & operating motor vehicles under the influence can only end badly.

As I've posted before, I don't know this area; but since this seems to be an on going problem, I feel compelled to post (again). Either concerned neighbors get together at one of their homes to have a neighborhood meeting to see what can be done together as a group, or just keep calling the police when you see or suspect any law breaking. But if posting on this blog is all anyone's doing, then it's not going to help. Good luck.

It’s really sad to see parents that show total disregard for their neighbors by allowing their residence to become the local hang-out for a large amount of local youths under the age of 21 to consume alcoholic beverages, and carry on all hours of the night. The block has been overrun daily by the amount of teenage vehicles parking on the street and causing congestion. You wouldn’t mind it once in awhile, but this go’s on daily. I agree with the rest of the comments, I too have become frustrated with the noise, parking, reckless driving, childish behavior and the consumption of alcohol by minors. Our street has become a hang-out for a bunch of youths looking for a place to drink and carry-on with total disregard of the local residents. I don’t blame the kids their just looking for somewhere to hang-out… the real problem lies with the parent’s lack of ability to provide good judgment, and adult supervision by allowing and encouraging this reckless behavior!

I’ve been monitoring the situation being I’m retired. I have been gathering the vehicle plate numbers to run a look-up to confirm the ages of the groups involved. I will be contacting my buddy in SPD to run the plates, and to advise me on what legal steps to take agaist the parents for allowing this to occur on their property. There is a law on the books that prohibits the consumption of alcoholic beverages by minors on private property, as well as the liability issue if the minors get involved in a motor vehicle accident. I agree with the rest of you this situation is only gaining momentum as the word go’s out that they have a safe haven to drink & party at. The parent’s lack of moral judgment in this matter only compounds the problem. In my opinion they need a wake-up call…..

Got 8- plates going to run them today! Last night party time started after 10pm. I guess by the frequency of the attendance that most of them don't work, and or are collecting unemployment. The son is probably taking an example from daddy!

Maybe its time to post the house number, so all can see? Hopefully the PD will take action soon! This weekend would be a good time to call and have them check things out. I would guess they'll be in full swing! Good Luck!

Being it's July 4th weekend, be prepared for them to party it up! Again, my suggestion is to get together with other concerned neighbors and go together to the police station, expressing all of your concerns in person!

Ran the plates of 12 vehicles involved, as suspected they were under the age of 21. Have been advised to call PD when drinking festivities occur. Punitive action will be taken against the home owner and minors involved on case by case basis. So far things have been quite, hopefully they will remain so!
