To Harleygirl if you really are a girl being from St. Louis, I'm just assuming like you ussally do, that you are a biker bitch that runs with bikers that never drink, pop pills or are losers. Like Christine says...MOST is spelled MOST not must. Must have been the pills...

All im reading are people bashing the police and how bad they hate this town. 1st of all, I think the Perryville Police are cool as hell. You have people who dont like the police cause they have been in trouble before ( because they were inocent ) whatever. Remember, it's not the police that convict you. People complain about the police, but who are the 1st people these people call when they are in trouble or need help? hmmmmmmmmmm..........And you have these tough guys that say " I would kick that cop's butt if...If what wuss, you wont do nothing, you have to put on a show for your friends to make yourself feel tough. I know most the Officer's in perryville and I know given the chance, most of them would stomp a mud hole in your behind if need be ( i.e. Worthington, Corse, Pitts, Bell, Black, Degenhart, Tarrillion, Janson, Reitzel.) People complain how the police dont do anything, well most of you dont know what goes on, quit watching television, this is real life not CSI. Im just tired of reading people complaining about the police only arresting people who dont have the right name. They will arrest you no matter what your name is. Is it the Police fault that somone may have money and able to afford a good attorney, is it the police fault that someone may not have the money to afford an attorney? I THINK NOT. If you dont like the police, dont call them when you need help since you can do a better job. This comment just goes out to the people complaing. also there was a comment from someone from Ohio calling Missouri people a bunch of inbred, backwards idiots. You gotta love an internet warrior. If all you have to do is complain about this town, then get off the libraries computer and go look for a job. The ones complaining are probably the one's who share each other's EBT cards and spend their thursday's at the food pantry. If you actually need that type of assistance, then thats fine. but most of you are too lazy to get a job and spend your childs allowance. Perryville is a nice community, no it's not St. Louis but you dont live in St. Louis, move there and get the hell outta here, we dont need you in our community anyway. Anyway, everyone has a right to there opinion, but make it a good one. P-Ville rocks!!!!

I lived in Perryville for 14 years. There are a few good people there but I have heard since I moved away 2years ago things have even gotten worse. I think I got my kids out just in time.
The "Last Name" thing ALWAYS annoyed me... when I would say my last name there was almost always the same comment!! "That's not a Perryville name." "Where are you from." Like I said my family lived there 14years and still were not considered a "Perryville Name".
The school wasn't real great either. Especially the elementary. They kept my daughter in LD for the extra benifit from the state and for my punishment for homeschooling for 3 years. And there is definately more beer consumed in Perry county than any other county in Missouri.
There were several bars and little else for people to do without driving 40 miles. Also, what about those 4 people found dead there after a big party at the Super 8, I believe that was in 2004. I moved shortly after that. Way too many drugs there maybe the older generations have on blinders or something but what about officer King.. he was the dare officer and died of a drug overdose!! What about the guy who molested and killed his 6 year old daughter then went out and hung himself in a barn. What about at least one teenager a year commits suicide there!!!! Get a clue... Perryville may have been a great town at one time but each year it is falling more and more apart. Do something before it's too late.
Oh, real smart one, Officer King died of a drug overdose huh! are you the medical examiner, didnt think so. he died of a heart attack mrs. know it all. where in this world doesnt teenagers do drugs or commit suicide, so get of of perryville, and by the way, 3 people died of drug overdoses in 2004 and one was in a fiels, one was in an apartment and the other in a house, so take the things you heard and dont know nothing about and shut up.

perryville honestly i think has their own laws.. and the ppl that say they are pround to live there they are probably drunks meth heads or pill popers that never want to grow up. if u get in trouble once u will never get out of trouble because the cops will keep going after u... and now they will do anything for money since they dont have the feds at the jail anymore.... and can i say they will do anything to get ppl in trouble how many rape cases have been reported lately and how many of them are true? maybe the parents should b letting their lil sluts go to bars and b out at all times of the night and the guys wouldnt think that they were 21 or over.. its sad i know of 3 rape cases right now that are going on and all three girls are liars and i know have slept with at least 15 guys each and they were all under 14 when the supposel raped happened.. where are the parents in this they can press charges on a guy.... to get attention from the community and try to cover up that their daughter is a slut but they wont beat her ass and tell her she isnt going out of the house because she is a lil girl...honestly start being parents

The Perryville these days is basically like this:

The old people (50 +): The ones who still live in yester-year and think everything is all lollipops and shotguns. Either you were a hardworking man dedicated to making a living for his family, a dutiful housewife tending to the needs of her home and community, or you served in some war some place. They also think they know everyone in this town, and have all the gossip on hand. These people are usually either cranky or kind-hearted, but they are a good generation in general.

The 40-somethings: Most of these are either men who flirt with younger girls and cheat on their wives, or they are haggered women who are running a drug show out of their own home.

The 30-somethings: These are the REAL assholes. They think everyone owes them. They are the parents of unruly teeangers, and most of these couples are either divorced or cheating on each other.

20 somethings: These kids were the true alternative generation. Most of them have grown up now but still keep true to their alternative lifestyles. Most of them have kids or babies now, and most of them have chosen a different religion to believe in. Wicca, Pagan, Athiest, whatever they want, as long as it makes more sense than Christianity. They've seen and learned enough to know better.

Teenagers: These kids are punks. No respect for anyone, not even themselves. Now with role models like the ones above, who can blame them? They want revenge for everything, they are full of angst and drama, and are so numbed by everything around them that they have to do something radical just to feel alive.

Babies and Children: Hopefully, this generation will be different. I see a lot of babies and children being abused in so many different ways on the news and because of that, there's no telling how these kids will turn out. But then there's also the ones who's parents have opened up to new lifestyles and decided to really get inovlved with their children's lives, so these kids turn out to be open minded, caring, super smart, and loving. Let's hope more people turn out this way...
