Do you feel safe sending your kids to school after the shootings in Conneticut?

It was a very tragic act of violence ! Those young children didn't deserve to die ... My heart and prayers go out to the families affected in Newtown Ct

With all the mass shootings of recent years you'd think more security measures would have implemented to prevent future loss of life! I think all schools should have a well trained cop on hand. It wouldn't even cost taxpayers if police donated time.

Wow, there are so many things wrong with this statement. Your going to take your time to point out that someone else needs to fix this? Why should a cop donate their time? Who cares if it costs tax payers? If the taxpayers won't give up eating out for one meal why should police volunteer time? I'm not sure we should force the protection of 6 year olds off on volunteers. Not a good place to be cheap.

It's just a matter of time before a kid snaps and happens here. Or even an adult. Look at the kids getting picked on or the gilster threads how certain people are attacked over and over. A person can only handle do much then they break. I don't feel safe anywhere anymore.

I think they need to have some kind of security officers at every school. Armed. But like everyone says, if its not a gun they can get ahold of, it could be anything they could use to hurt people. I pray for the people affected and families in CT.

Thanks to all of you who posted comments with compassion instead of the normal crap. I can't begin to imagine the pain of the parents who lost their angles.Heaven forbid , but it could happen here. I believe it starts with the bullying and escilates from there. Parents, if you know your child is bullying someone, don't tolerate it. Step up and put a stop to it before it gets out of hand.
