I just wondered if there were any people who would be interested in forming a group of friends for people who have no living family. My mother father and all my siblings are deceased so my entire family is gone. I have 4 children who are too busy for their parent and I wondered if anyone else was in this same boat. I didn't hear a word from them today because I didn't put on the big feed and take care of cleaning up after them and their kids today. It would be nice to have a group of friends to be with on special holidays or any other event that really have no family. Any interest in this town in something like this?

In light of the fact that you have 4 children and some grandchildren, you would be EXCLUDED from the very group that you are trying to form.

There are exceptions to every rule. ZOMBIES are non-living and if your children and grandchildren are classified as such, you would then be INCLUDED in the group. It is my understanding that zombies eat the living so I can certainly agree with your decision not to "put on the big feed and take care of cleaning up after them and their kids".

---SERIOUSLY--- You have 4 children and some grandchildren and yet you post on a public forum that your entire family is gone. You need psychiatric evaluation. Once you are committed to a mental institution you can rest assured that there are many groups already formed and waiting there for you.

I guess I should have clarified that my parents and siblings are all dead that part if MY family. My children are living but only show up when they want money or something. They were not raised that way just spoiled I guess your so lucky your children are perfect. congratulations it doesn't happen often

Dear Mr. Guest,

I am sorry to hear about your situation. I have many friends and some family left and no one should be left out on the holidays. I understand about the child situation as I have one that way and she wasnt raised that way. Do you go to church? A lot of times you can always find some group needing help and I find volunteering and seeing people worse than me often makes me feel better about my self when I can at least share my time and give something back. I have a few people I check on because they are less fortunant than me and it makes my day as well as theirs. If it is a fishing buddy you are looking for they are all around as well. Independance care is also a cool place to find someone to talk to. Some might be old but awesome to hear some of their stories. dont worry if anyone says dont post on a public forum because thats what it is.....you own the same percentage of this forum as they do so ask all you want. Good Luck.....seek and you shall find.......unless you give up.

There is some really good church groups at St vincents that is a good place to make friends also. Then you can meet like minded people and would probably love to have someone to spend the holidays with.

I understand what the first woman feels. U can have ungreatful children and feel alone as she has no siblings or parents to spend time with. Some children were great when young then took that nice mom for everything she had and leave her alone only to think of them selves so she feels as though she has no family when she sees how other familys look so happy and perfect. i know im in same situation. Be strong girl move forward. im here for you.

I know exactly what you mean. For you that seems to think just because a woman has kids she would be excluded, you could not be more wrong. Throw out some ideas about what you have in mind. I am definitely interested.

I liked you, and even admired you, right up until the last paragraph. Evidently you know little about 'family'. Perhaps you spend far too much time studying 'zombies and the like'.

You began with wit and ended with judgment and psychobabble--and you did not even pass Zomby-Go to collect 200 dollars in EBT Monopoly Credits. I do not mind such psychobabble, or even judgment, when the person is obviously mean, more likely psychotic, and ordinarily one-dimensional. Yet she was taking an active stance in the cure of her obvious loneliness and even abandonment--that is mentally sound, unless you're so Freudian you cannot get the cocaine spoon out of your exceptionally large nose.

Save the 'expression of attempted witticisms' for those both experienced, and who are likewise good at it. Take your Xanax and byte me. I get the general feeling that, considering you love zombies, you'd be rather exceptional at cannibalism...if your dentures should hold up in that process.

Okay, I thought this was new--these things can often become rather annoying.
