Prescott Pit Bull Ban
Due in part to the vicious pit bull attack in Prescott last month that killed a 2-year-old child, the Prescott City Council has declared an emergency, and last night (nov 16) unanimously passed an ordinance banning ALL pit bulls within city limits. According to ordinance number five:“the unrestricted presence of pit bulls within the City of Prescott poses a significant risk of injury to the citizens due to the aggressive nature of the breed and the threat of attack”. Section 1 states:“it shall be unlawful for any person to own, house or possess within the City of Prescott any breed of dog identified as a pit bull; including American Pit Bull Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, and American Bull Dogs. The ordinance goes into effect in 60 days and after that, it shall be unlawful and a misdemeanor for the owner or keeper to fail to comply with the ordinance. Upon conviction, the owner will be subject to the maximum fine of $500 and each day the owner remains in violation shall constitute a separate offense. The ordinance may be enforced by either the Prescott Animal Control Officer or any law enforcement agency with jurisdiction within the Prescott city limits. Mayor Howard Taylor says copies of this ordinance will be made available to the public and may be picked up at city hall

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Scorpio

Something that you've always taken for granted or believed implicitly could have a big question mark hanging over it during the next few weeks. The more entrenched your views are about this, the more difficult it will be to accept that perhaps it's time for a change of opinion or, at the very least, a revaluation of what you think. Mercury turns retro in your house of communications, so do your best to be open-minded now.
