I've met Collin b4 and i find it really hard 2 believe he did something like this! When i knew him he was a really likeable guy! I feel that he felt threatened in his own home and never expected things to happen this way!

This life could have been saved. The young man who took this life showed all the classic signs that led to this tragic end- Authorities and adults in his life were aware of his inability to cope with life without using violence, drugs and abusive outlets. The laws kept their hands tied without complaints being filed- He needs help and to be put some place to protect others from his actions and threats as well as himself. My Grandchildren were abused and threaten by Colin so I know first hand the relief that this wasn't one of them-Thank God but a life was taken and the adults in Colin's life need to join together to provide the necessary aid to help Colin's mental health not think that if they can get him off one more time -he will learn from his errors. If the authorities had been able to put Colin in a place to help correct his problems back when I had my daughter go to them with the threats of death and abuse against my grandchildren- a life could have been saved. Hopefully this will be stopped here and no excuses be able to let Colin slide again.

I checked previous posting and noted that the posting stated I was from Shallowwater- I was a part of the Perryton Community for over 26 years and know the area and now live 40 miles from Perryton not in Shallowwater.
Thank You

I dont think ColLin did it on purpose. I am really close with him, and anyone that had problems with him in the past probably had something to do with it too. I know he has made some bad mistakes in his life, but i know he would never kill someone on purpose no matter how much he dislikes them.

I did not either one of the men involved in this incident, but I do know that the lives of two families are changed forever. Right, wrong or indiffrent to the situation, please pray for both families as there is a lot of healing that needs to happen. God Bless all.

Collin has had more than one assault with bodily injury charge one only a month before the shooting and a protective order against him because of it! He was not even allowed to see his child!!! He should never have had a gun. He has threatened people with guns before and it was only a matter of time!!! I am sure that he will do time for this. THERE IS A REASON IT WAS FIRST DEGREE MURDER!!

This was murder! I am sure once all the evidence is back he will be indicted then convicted! I hope police investigate where the gun came from and pursue any charges possible. The saddest part is SOOOO MANY PEOPLE SAW ALL THE WARNING SIGNS LEADING UP TO THIS!

thats whats wrong with small towns like perryton and the surrounding little towns....everybody sleeps with everybody..married or not and the only thing there is to do is drugs and drink and party....if you hang out with those kind of people you bring on ur own troubles wether ur a good person or not....its called guilt by association.....and as for the murder crap well it takes a real man to walk away and a coward to pick up a gun and shoot!!!

Well somebody in the judicial system got rich this week! This whole thing is such a joke. Daddy paid off somebody again! They dropped the 1st degree murder charge. HELLO!!! PEOPLE!!! He called his daddy to bring him a gun and his dad brought it!! Now tell me that isn't pre-meditated!!! You know they were both mixed up in some bad stuff. It is well known that Jeremy was mixed up in drugs and crap and so was Collin. But still doesn't mean Jeremy deserved to die! Jeremy paid the ultimate price for the life he chose and now it is time for Collin to pay his! Perryton judicial system is a freakin JOKE!

And David Scott is a freakin douche bag. He was on the radio yesterday morning yapping his jaws about how, according to the toxicology report, Jeremy was "Blown" out of his mind on meth and no reasonable person would be screaming and kicking a door down. Well Mr.David Scott, no reasonable person has an arsonal of automatic weapons at moments notice to kill somebody!!! And I am sure Collin was just as "blown" out of his freakin mind! Just pissed me off how he acted like Jeremy was the only one to blame in this whole thing. Collin has a past and daddy always covers it up and pays people off and it is time for someone to stand up and tell him NO MORE and lock his sorry ass up!!!

JEREMY PAID! AND NOW IT IS TIME FOR COLLIN TO PAY!!!

Perryton has a right to be shocked. The Grand Jury's duty was to view the facts. Even if the Castle Law was Collin's defense that was not the Grand Jury's concern but Collin's attorney's at trial. the facts as the public is aware-being that a man was killed by someone holding a gun-someone definitely being Collin; who had enough premeditation and weapons to be arrested and statements by others were taken to bring this case before the Grand Jury. If Mr. David Scott made all evidence including a tox report on Collin; known to the Grand Jury and they still No Billed -Something is definitely lacking in the justice system. Will the 'Powers that Be' have to have one of their own hurt before we average citizens see the legal system truely at work.Collin has had several recent incidents giving observers the impression that he is still out of control. Of course we could always have our own OJ Simpson. Who by being set free is forever bound by the judgement of the Lord and will always be a non-person to society.Welcome to your future,Collin.

first of all, their was 4 other guys with charlie brown and all of them had weapons. two was on each side of the door while charlie was tryin to beat it down. collin didnt mean to kill him. all of yall act like collin had some futuristic gun capable of seeing thru doors. his fired shot was right beside the door knob. if you want to shoot someone in the head while their pounding your door your gonna aim high somewhat by the peephole right? charlie just happened to be standing on the ground, not the porch. what if they would of broken into his house and hurt him real bad or even took his life. i never wish death upon anyone but come on people think it thru. he went to his apartment asking for it. im just sayin put yourself in his shoes regardless of the non sense of what other people have to say about him.

its a sad situation and my prayers go out to both families
