Mark Warmoth looks like he would be hard to work with because he is apparently such an ass. He also looks mean. If nothing else, if I were an executive, that puss of his alone would make me want to quit his company. He needs to cut those stupid braids off his beard and take those sun glasses off and start looking like a CEO. Does this Warmouth have something to hide behind his sunglasses? He just looks like a thug and a scary one at that.
I know how hard and cruel CEO's of RV manufacturers can be. And I know how terrible the employees, from management to the labourers, is treated in these horrible work environments. I worked at an RV manufacturer in the cabinet shop, for 12 years and it was HELL every minute I spent in there because I, as well as so many others, was treated so badly. |

The only reason why it was hell for alice for 12 years is because they way that you were to people you worked with. If you had been a little nicer and happier to work with you may still have you job . |

You don't know what you are talking about if you've never worked in one of these places. These work environments have sent many over the edge and this place I worked for had a revolving door of employees coming and going. It was impossible to keep people there. This company is lucky if 2 people out of 20 stayed longer than a month. In other words Fleetwood were training them as fast as they were quitting.
I challenge you to get a job there and see how long you will last and see how long you will be nice. So take the blinders off and see the real world of what it's like to work in some of these environments where the bosses are always on your ass like a diaper and don't appreciate their employees. Leaving this place was the best thing that ever happened. I started working at a new company a week later which I'm still there. I'm making $17 an hour, siting on my ass all day as an inspector and do fun things like work at a computer station and use scanners. Unlike the other company, I not only get my 40 hours a week in, but have the option to work overtime if I want to. Don't know how old you are but I'm coming up on 62 in a few months and have been in the work force since I was 19. Always got good merit reviews and raises from my employers. Also work at a company for 191/2 years where I had a high position as a line operator and vision assistant. I resigned from this company that I liked working for, leaving with a good feeling, to go to work for Fleetwood. I loved the work that I did there for 12 years and if Fleetwood sells this plant I'm ready to go back even if it's for a few years since I'm so close to retire. |

I know mark personaly, he started this company out of his garage, Alice your comments show how misguided and how much hatred you have.......
His compnay isn't doing well, but tell me what Recreational company right now is doing well? people aren't spending money on new RV's right now, so when a company goes from making 2500 units last year, to only a few a week, it is hard to adjust the workforce that quick. The numbers are just an example... |

Probably if Mark had a picture of him looking like a CEO instead of looking untrusting with those sunglasses and silly braids I wouldn't have said a word. Even judges have an issue with people hiding their eyes behind sunglasses. I like a lot of people too in upper management and also think they are the greatest people around. But, things quickly change when a person becomes an employee. I absolutely agree with you. The whole travel trailer industry is hurting because of outrageous gas prices and to a lesser extent quality. I must bring up quality, because everyday we came to work we were quickly snapped at in meetings that if the quality didn't improve that they will close the plant. These problems existed at plant #42 at a time when gas prices weren't high. So unless you have worked in the travel trailer industry and had to deal with these Dr. Jeckals and Mr. Hydes everyday, than don't criticize me. There are too many peope who just know how to give lip service without ever experience the situations that I have experienced. |

I agree with quality, it goes all the way up to all RV's, even the half million dollar Motorhomes have many issues brand new. I have been lucky with my 3 RVs I have bought over the years, but I have many friends that have not.
Quality has gone down because volume has increased to rapidly. with people living off their equity of their homes, and Katrina trailer demand, and many other factors, the companies could put out a lessor quality and it would still sell. Times have changed, time to get what we pay for again......I hope. The nice thing about WW, it is privately held. If Mark wants to wear his sunglasses, so be it. He doesn't have to answer to a board of directors. I would just warn you, don't judge a book from it's cover, I have not met a more gracious person, he truely cares what happens in the future, it is his company, not a bunch of shareholders........ |

Just to let you know that I have worked in the RV industry for 24 years so I really do think that I know what Im talking about as far as the enviroment is. And I to have built the cabinet that have gone into the trailer. So you see I do know what Im talking about. I have worked in all the dept. I know a travel trailer fairly well. And Fleetwood I would match to anything on the market.I will say that ecomony is tough for the rv business,as well as many other business. Just because you could not see the glass half full don't mean you need to bash it for those who still are working there for the weekly paychecks. And if it was so rough for you . Why stay the 12 years. Even tough claim that you liked what you did!!

as a group leader in the cabinet shop at Fleetwood i know that we went through a spell where the turn around was fast. But I also know that you have got to want to work. And some of the people that was brought in was not willing to put forth the effort in takes to work at the pace.

Alice, you could not be more correct. You can not only make judgement by appearances, but by the article in the newspaper announcing the resignation of the top executives. The resignee made a gracious statement but Mark attacked them for not being able to cut it. The company has all but shut down now. Hanging on by a thread. I used to work there. Mark is very generous, but the work atmospere was very unprofessional to say the least.

Really talk about judging a book by it's cover. Have you ever met Mark Warmoth? I have and he is a perfectly nice person. He is a very good person and I know for a fact that he cares about his employees. Just because Mark knows that in his industry and the market he targets he does not need to look like an executive suit and tie type. When I see a picture of Mark I see someone who knows how to have fun. And who better to design toy haulers?!? How can you judge the entire RV industry based on one job that you had. I was raised by a father who worked in this industry. Yes, some of the companies are worse to work for than others but how is that different from any other industry in this country. My dad worked at one company for MANY years and it was not the most pleasant experience. He later worked for 2 other companies and had nothing but good experiences. How closed minded to judge hundreds if not thousands by one job that you had. |

Things may be different if you actually worked for this guy. A lot of top execs are nice and sweet as long as you don't have to work for them. Actually that goes for any boss. Outside they are all sweet and talkative, but inside they wouldn't spit on the best part of you. Think about it. You and the rest of these clowns, that has never worked in such a terrible work environment, are hardly in a position to criticize anyone. And speaking of sunglasses. If you ever watch those court shows, the judge make the plaintives or defendants take them off, because judges don't trust anyone with sunglasses on. Anyhow, this guy would have come across a lot more credible without sunglasses and braids on his chin. And he don't have to be decked out in a suit and tie. But, there are execs that I have worked for in the past that I really like. But, they are few and far inbetween. |

Lots of negativity here, too.

Mark's care for employees and trust could be called one of the issues for the business to slide so dramically. But looking at this in hindsight, WW probably wouldn't have made it anyway. Mark cares for people more than anyone I have ever met. I know many people that have worked with him and are personal friends of his, know one has anything negative to say about him if they ACTUALLY know him.
By they way, judging a book by it's cover is immature, please post a picture of yourself so we can guess what you are like....... |

I could not agree more with BAC!! Mark is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet...

I am shocked and absolutely pissed off that I just received a recorded message from Mark Warmoth announcing that fact that he is once again in business of selling RV's. I have incurred debt of $10,000 in the last 1 1/2 years having my poorly manufactured Weekend Warrior unit repaired. Right before they went out of business shortly after my first discovery of major leakage, I was told that Weekend Warrior would reimburse me the cost of the repairs. Yup, went out of business and I was told by the attorney that I would be getting nothing, the banks would get it all. How is it that one year later he is back in business and leaving me recorded messages bragging about the fact that he is still at it, all the while I am still struggling to pay the $10,000 debt for this 31 foot piece of shit! |

With so many on here vouching for this guy, why not give him a ring and give him a chance to come clean for you on this, then comment after the fact......Just an idea.

Wow, I got a recorded message also, but it wasn't Mark's voice, it was a girl. And it was a different company, that has been around for a couple of years called, "Warriorlifestyles". WL as a company was formed to sell apparel and lifestyle things using the Warrior trademarks, I believe 3-4 year ago. After WW went under, they started offering RV service and repairs, pretty smart on their part. There are some close relationships between the two companies, but netherless they are different companies, and they are not making RV's at all. WL did hire a few WW employees that had been around to help with repairs and knowledge of the trailers.....

mark is great guy , and very giving . the sad
part of the story is where theres a big giver theres some times a big taker , and the taker took more than he could give . the guy manufactures a product , the people that he owes dont do a thing but play with paper . I think really we have to remember what our monetary system is for . its sad that gambling or misuse of our trade system ruined this company . in our credit system you can build 50 homes and have bad credit. mark has made more people happy with his product and his personality than any one man I have ever met. |
