Frankly I donít care how many coyotes are killed. They can kill them all. Kill all the squirrels too, I hate those tree rats. If Iím hunting Iíll shoot every squirrel I see. Nasty little creatures. But, it is amusing shooting one with 00 buck or even a 30-06.
Poachers have no business hunting. It's people like you that make normal people turn against legitimate hunting and give real hunters a bad name.

Killing them has CREATED a problem you wouldn't otherwise be here bitching about. I never said killing blackbirds would create more of them. Don't you get that some people care about life? It's not about wanting to control you.

<quoted text> Those Squirrl can be a nusance. In town,s where they dont allow hunting the numbers can explode. they sometimes den up in the attic,s & wall,s of buildings & homes. They chew up insulation deposit feces & urine and sometimes cause fire,s from chewing electrical wiring. We had a huge ice storm and a late spring hard freeze several years ago. The freeze damaged the buds and their wasnt a mast crop that year. the Squirrl starved & didnt reproduce many young. Their numbers havent rebounded yet.
Like I said, nature will take care of things. If you and others had gone and killed a bunch, then the storm hit, there may be NO squirrels now. This is what causes extinctions, my friend. You may not care, but others do. What would the loss of squirrels mean to the whole ecosystem?

<quoted text> The first sentence of the second paragraph is enough for me to justify killing coyotes. I want to increase the number of Bobwhite Quail.
Squirrels, chipmunks, raccoons, fox, rats, mice, snakes, cats and various other small mammals all eat quail eggs and other ground nesting birds. Coyotes are the main predator that keeps all these species in check.

Mine are protected within their half acre fenced in yard. When they are playing outside, I check on them periodically. If they start barking, I check on them immediately. They are all big dogs and quite capable of fending off all the predators we commonly get. At night they are in the house, where I don't have to worry about them.

I also see there is no "open season" on them as you claimed earlier. You cannot just go out whenever you want and kill them, as you claim to have done. That would make you a law-breaker and a poacher. Poachers lose their right to hunt and are considered criminals. People who poach usually have no problem also killing people.

It's not a problem at all. Somehow, I think I'll sleep just fine. I know people have been ignorant for a long time and they will be for a long time to come. I can't change things by complaining on Topix. I take solace in knowing that God is watching all of us. He will take whatever measures he deems necessary if HE thinks what we do is wrong.

I feel the same way even though I don't trap. I do hunt, so a coyote crossing my path will make a nice target, along with wild hogs.

Your arrogance and hubris give me to believe that should the creator of this place judge you properly, that you will find yourself in a far lesser plane, come the time of judgement.
Judge ye not, lest ye also be judged.
