The New Mexican is now just a windbag of a publication. No reporting whatsoever. I swear, they regurgitate yesterday's Journal North to make a paper. I am cancelling my subscription IMMEDIATELY so that I can do my part in reducing carbon emmissions.

I love how this paper can talk about height and massing in downtown Santa fe when the UGLIEST eyesore in the area is the antenna that generates hundreds of thousands of dollars for the NEW MEXICAN on their property. I think we should start a petition with the City Council to have it removed because it is not only an eyesore, but emits dangerous gamma rays and such.

I just moved here from L.A. and I think that this project is just not right for downtown historic santa fe. As a new local, i oppose this development. what about our history?

oh be quiet: development is a natural progression of a city's growth. Without careful development a city stagnates and dies. Why did you move here? DO you think SF is a pueblo disneyland here for your entertainment? SF is a real city with real people who have real socio economic needs just as people in LA or Olathe do. The hysterical review board in SF is uneducated and unsophisticated in moving SF forward in a way that keeps what is truly worth preservering safe and allows much needed modernization and development to grow around that. Go to Paris, or Madrid, or London, or Mexico City, or New York, all great tourism cities who have found a way to mesh new and old and create excitement and vibrancy in their cities. SF is just a brown puddle of mud that turns its back on anything new and vibrant and if it keeps that up we are dommed.

As noted earlier, I just moved here from L.A. and purchased a very expensive casita on the historic east-side with expansive and lush gardens surrounding my pool. If you think I want to see this town change, you are very wrong! I am a local now and will do everything in my capacity to preserve the essence of Santa Fe which are its buildings and environment. I have the knowledge, resources and capacity to help preserve and conserve the historical nature of the town. If people like myself are not willing to preserve the history of the town, nobody will.

<quoted text>Those are major HEAVILY populated metropolises, BJ. Part of Santa Fe's allure is its quaintness and small town atmosphere. Hopefully, it won't be a shiitehole like some of the cities in Ohio.

jeanie I did go back to vote and for trick or treat. I stopped by Al's house: we decorated the john deere gator all cute with little ghost lights and we hooked up the satelite radio and played scary halloween sounds. We got so much candy it was ridiculous. Now houses that had Obama signs gave out WAY better candy and way more of it than McCain houses. Republicans as a rule give out schittie candy. Now I am back in NM for a few days.

Thank you from some of us. Whether you have lived here all your life or just moved here, preservation of the history of this town is important to us. As a long-time community activist in this town, I am very passionate about preserving the history of this town.

you need a serious mental helath intervention, and I say this in all seriousness. You display some pretty disturbing behaviors here. You think I hate you, but actually I feel real sorry for you. We have all tried to ignore you, to be nice to you, to engege you in conversation, but you will have none of it. You need help jean really you do. No normal person behaves the way you do. Go back and read the evil stuff you write. You do not hurt anyone's feelings or get anyone mad, you just seem more pitiful and pathetic whith each vile evil mean post.

Funny BJ. I have homes in L.A., NYC and Cayman. Right now I am in SF replanting my yard. I am replacing these wierd pinon trees with weeping willow and cottonwoods for the shade. I am on city water but also have a well, so don't worry.
