Ridiculous prosecution here. I leave my kids locked in the car for short periods while I run into the store all the time. It's not a crime. These cops are just way out hand. Too many prosecutors. Too many police officers. Too many social workers.

I knew there would be a post on here saying that this was no big deal. I hope you're joking.

Too many idiots who don't stop to think what could happen to their kids. And just for your information, leaving a small child alone in a car IS a crime.

I hope that your children don't suffer for your ignorance and stupidity. The world is a different place these days and do you really think a locked car would stop someone who was determined to enter?

In this case, daddy was gone for an hour AND was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

If this is illegal, the law should really be changed.

A kid is more likely to be killed in a moving vehicle than in a parked one.

I Agree with you, a man should be able to leave his son in his truck while he runs in somewhere quick. Yes an hour is to long of a time for him to be left alone, but if it is a quick 10 or 15 min. run that is no big deal. My parents did it with me, and so did a lot of other peoples parents and it was no problem. Cops are out of control these days.
I'm not implying that what he dad was right, because it was not. But if you are doing a quick run that is fine. Psycho people have always been around, but you just hear about it more now .

With the warmer weather coming, we'll have more stories of "kids left in the car" while parent shops or goes gambling at the casinos.(or forgets to bring them to daycare and leaves them in the car while they go to work)
