This was proven during the big ice storm, even Townsend that once had a great emergency management system left the residents to fend for themselves for over two weeks and their was no one in charge.
Hopefully residents are now better prepared knowing their community has no organized system in place

wrong, wrong and wrong...
THERE was some one in charge...
Why do you persist in this blatant lie?
The FD and PD and highway, water and other departments did an admirable job checking on the elderly and helping clear roads.
Your credibility has vanished..

In Michigan where my parents live, they regularly do massive emergency drills. They are actually kind of fun for the people involved, they are informative, and they build confidence that people will know what to do if there is a problem. The amateur radio club is quite involved, among other people.

Have the current Board members availed themselves of any emergency management courses that are available? I wonder.
